Blue Reef Aquarium

Terrible customer service. We purchased tickets for a halloween event and despite clarification that it was going ahead we received a phone call telling us it was cancelled almost immediately after we had paid. No refund and no complimentary tickets that were promised to make amends for messing us about and disappointing our daughter. No response from head office regarding our refund? Very strange business practice, surely a refund is a simple enough transaction. These people obviously do not care about customers and are treating us with contempt. Many better places in the North East that are better such as the wonderful beach directly across the road which is free and won't steal your money. Avoid.

Great morning at aquarium seahorses are amazing and the talk about them very good the seals were brilliant and glad to hear rescued seals are nursed back to health and returned to the sea .thank you

A pleasant few hours looking at the exhibits in the sea life center. The tail on the seals was good and informative and would be suitable for all the family. Staff were friendly and approachable. The seals were great fun and a pleasure to watch them get some exercise.

Amazing day out. Myself, my partner and her two kids (9 and 11 w/ ASD) all had a wonderful time. The seal display was great and the front of house staff member gave us helpful information about areas and times we might want to avoid so as not to stress the kids.
The cafe staff were also very nice and helpful and let us order just before closing time.

I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. A range of creatures to interact with and the seal presentation is not to be missed! Shark guy knows his stuff but then all the staff seemed very knowledgeable and pleased to interact with visitors. The otters are really sweet even though they are quite pungent! The only downside is no car park and the council run car park charges £1-20 an hour which seems quite a lot as many other car parks in Northumberland are free.

Good experience but foodnenu could do with changing the fact you can go round as much as you like makes.it worth your while

Good little aquarium. Interesting and the only aquarium I've been to that has monkeys too. Saw the seal show which was amusing and informative. My only gripe is that it only took an hour, to an hour and half to go round the place.

Fairly small aquarium but luckily we booked our student tickets in advance so it wasn't too pricey. Make sure you also do this!! Overall the exhibits were good and fun to take pictures of the various species of fish (and random tiny monkeys...). The seal show was pretty fun!

Good selection of fish and wildlife. A little on the small side but they do really well with what space they have. The shows are regular and the seal show is especially worth waiting for. It is a little pricey but its definitely worth a visit.
