About Bluebell Nursery And Out Of School Club

Childcare provider for children from 3 months to 11 years of age

Bluebell Nursery And Out Of School Club Description

Bluebell Nursery and Out of School Club provides care for children aged between 3 months and 11 years of age. We have 2 separate rooms, a baby room for the children up to the age of 2 years and a toddler room for children up to the age of 3 years. We also provide wrap around care for children from the local schools, offering a breakfast and after school club including school drop off's and collections at the end of their school day. During the school holidays we run a holiday club programme offering affordable childcare for all school aged children.

Bluebell Nursery and Out of School Club has been under new management since December 2013. Kerry Owen - Nursery Manager and Kaye Jones - Deputy Manager have worked extremely hard to raise the standards or care and learning that is provided to its children. We work extremely closely with our families, the local authority and all other agencies to provide the best quality care and education to give our young children the best start in life.

Our mission is to provide a stable and stimulating environment in a home like atmosphere, keeping to children's home routines as much as possible. We wish to give all children the opportunity to develop through exploration and to efficiently deliver the EYFS curriculum to enable us to provide the foundations for all our children's futures.

This week we have enjoyed seeing our Holiday Club children, we have also welcomed some new faces to Bluebell which has been lovely. Throughout the week we have visited the Forest School area to explore the natural surroundings and the children enjoyed playing hide and seek. We have spent lots of time out on the playing field and we have also been out into the community to visit the local park. Mid-week we visited Aislin’s Funhouse for the day, where we enjoyed using the soft ...play area and getting involved in some 'Snake' arts and crafts. The children have baked a very yummy Victoria Sponge cake and decorated it with coloured butter cream icing, and they also made some chocolate rice crispy cakes. The children have been getting involved in team games, using the resources in the construction area to build their own creations, as well as getting creative with the shaving foam and using it to print patterns onto paper.
We have really enjoyed our time this week and look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Jenna and Amber.

This week the Babies and Toddlers have been using their imaginative skills in the role play kitchen area. The Toddlers made 'tea' and lunch for the baby dolls, as well as hosting a birthday party! We have also been using the chalks to create pictures on the floor and we spoke about what we had drawn. Yesterday the Babies and Toddlers showed off their baking skills, making cookies. They were very yummy! Today we took a trip to the park, in which we had lots of fun playing games with our friends.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week!

This week in the Toddler Room the children have been making rice crispy cakes and cards for their Valentines! The Toddlers have been experimenting with the musical instruments, creating lots of different sounds and noise, as well as dancing along to the beats and rhythms that they were creating. We have also been continuing to practice our counting and number sequences during morning circle times, which has come in useful when identifying how many blocks we have used to build different sized towers.
We hope that you all have a lovely weekend and half term, and we look forward to seeing all of our Holiday Club friends next week!

The Baby Room this week have been celebrating Love for Valentine's day through lots of fun activities. We got creative with our cards for our Mummy's and Daddy's and made some tissue paper heart shapes. We also made some yummy rice crispy cakes and decorated them with little chocolate hearts, developing our fine motor skills as we placed them on the top. We have expressed our love for our friends by using our kind hands and sharing our toys at Bluebell.
The babies have had a lovely week and we look forward to seeing our holiday club friends next week!

This week in baby room , we have been creating some master pieces to create our Owl Babies display board. The babies used cotton wool to create the textured effect on our owls bodies , and free painted a tree for the owl babies to sit in we had great fun creating these this week! The themed dispalyed board is inspired by the popular story of `Owl Babies` which the children here at Bluebell seem to really enjoy! Baby room also loved to get involved with this weeks Diddi-Danc...e session , we danced using different parts of our bodies and used the hula hoops to splash in muddy puddles .
Have a lovely weekend everyone !
See you next week x

In the after school club this week we have made some pictures using different stencils creating lots of patterns, shapes and characters. They also enjoyed completing their own comic strips individually and in groups In the middle of the week we made some yummy chocolate chip muffins the children enjoyed cracking eggs , mixing and chopping up chocolate to add in to our mixture . The children enjoyed eating the muffins afterwards . We challenged ourselves by taking part in the r...iddles activity the children found this activity challenging but enjoyed completing them after lots of hardwork. Today we made some home made soft serve ice cream. They children helped prepare the mixture and the began to shake the bag for 10 minutes each taking it in turns. They were amazed to watch it turn into ice cream and got to eat it for this evenings pudding!
Have a brilliant weekend everyone.

This week in toddler room we had a lovely walk out into the local community and went to explore all the different types of fruit in our local Morrisons supermarket. We also had fun getting messy whilst playing with the gel play and talking about how the compare bears felt after being in the gel. Later on in the week toddlers expressed their feelings whilst engaging in sensory play exploring different types of materials and textures. During our busy week at nursery we celebrat...ed Chinese new year by creating fun Chinese lanterns and displaying them in our windows . The toddlers have showed a strong interest this week in the construction area by building towers with different types of blocks, such as wooden , rubber, plastic blocks with all different sizes. This week we had our visit from diddi-dance, we learnt to move our bodies in a range of ways whilst dancing to the music !
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday for another fun filled week !

The atmosphere at Bluebell is amazing and they always make you feel comfortable and important. William has started to quite happily be handed over in the mornings, with arms outstretched and I love hearing about his day when I pick him up. Such a lovely place. x

My little boy loves coming to nursery. All of the staff are amazing, friendly and always think of the children first. My little boy has polycystic kidneys, the staff were very interested to find out about the condition and how they could help in any way. Bluebells is an amazing nursery and I know my little boy is in safe hands, not only do all the staff help with his development but they build such lovely relationships with the children in a fun way. I would recommend this nursery to anyone with a child.

Excellent Nursery! My daughter loves coming here and it is so reassuring when she runs in happily of a morning with a smile on her face. The staff are all so caring, kind and are brilliant with the children. My son also attends the holiday club and he has come home buzzing and telling me all about the activities he has been doing at holiday club. Today he went on a trip to a farm and absolutely loved it and has been talking about his day. They both learn so much at Bluebell and have lots of friends and great bonds with the staff.
