Bluebird Care, Cambridge & South Cambs Description
Bluebird Care (Cambridge and South Cambs) deliver care and support to older people and those with a sensory impairment, physical disability, learning disability or those who suffer from various forms of dementia. We provide a wide range of services from welfare and medication checks, through to 'around the clock' live-in care every day of the year.
Our range of homecare services encompasses:
Personal care and hygiene
Helping to go to the toilet
Assistance getting in and out of bed
Washing, showering /bathing and getting dressed or undressed
Preparation of drinks, snacks and meals
Domestic chores including laundry and shopping which can be accompanied or unaccompanied
Companionship and escorting to appointments and social activities.
Indoor and outdoor mobility
Prompting and assisting with medication
Welfare checks and overnight care
Our more specialist services include:
Provision of additional care and support upon coming home from a stay in hospital in order to help you make the transition back home, rebuilding self-confidence and to get you back into your established routine in familiar surroundings.
Respite care to assist those people who normally provide the care to a friend or family member but who need to take some time off.
More specialist care for those people who may be approaching the end of their life and need additional help to ensure they maintain their dignity and respect whilst remaining in their own homes with their nearest and dearest.
Dementia care which enables our customers and their families to cope with the demands of all forms of dementia, particularly Alzheimerโs and we have developed a number of strategies to help relieve the day to day stress and pressure that so often arises, whilst ensuring that our customers' dignity is preserved at all times.
Reablement care to assist individuals to learn or re-learn how to undertake activities associated with normal daily living, promoting increased self-confidence and self-esteem so that they can retain greater independence for longer whilst having greater choice and control over how they live their lives.

Wearing multiple layers such as a thermal vest and a fleece, as well as hats, gloves and scarves can help to keep the cold at bay ๐งค
During the cold weather ice and frost can build up on the ground, so be sure to wear sensible shoes with a proper grip to help avoid slips and falls ๐

To help, our director, Carolyn, will be handing out temperature cards to ensure our customers can stay warm enough, preventing avoidable hospital admissions!
