About Bluebird Care Careers Chichester

Bluebird Care (Chichester) is recruiting for high quality in-home care services.

Bluebird Care Careers Chichester Description

Bluebird Care (Chichester) is a leading provider of care at home, recruiting only those with a genuine interest in care.

Introducing Bluebird Care - Care To Join Us?

The market for care at home is dynamic and fast changing.
With an aging population and care needs changing to reflect the popularity of receiving care at home, rather than going into a residential home, there has never been a better time to develop your career in an industry where you can really make a difference.

Being a Bluebird Care employee is an incredibly rewarding career. As our staff are vital to our high quality service, we work with newly recruited and existing staff alike, to make sure they have the tools to deliver the very best care services for our customer.

All care staff are provided with comprehensive training and opportunities to progress on a career pathway towards becoming a “Home Care Specialist”. As a minimum all of our staff are given the opportunity of training towards an NVQ or equivalent care qualification and some train to diploma level.

We also offer generous benefits packages which can include travel expenses, accident and breakdown cover, health insurance, a work mobile phone and staff discounts at selected outlets.

Background - What do we do?

We provide care at home services to allow our customers to remain independent in their own homes rather than being moved to residential accommodation.
To do this we help customers get dressed, washed, toileted, help make meals, provide medication, help them to move using specialist equipment and provide companionship and support. We may also help our customers go shopping and go for trips out, or we may do some light housework. All our work for our customers is based in their own homes. However, our care staff, a key part of the Bluebird Care team, visit our offices for training, support and to discuss changes in customers’ conditions as required.

Roles in Chichester:

Care Assistant -

Care assistants are at the very heart of the Bluebird Care service. They make day visits to support each customer to remain living in their own homes for as long as they require. They are responsible for providing a high quality of care and encouraging independence, whilst adhering to the customer’s care and support plan. Care assistants also provide an essential activity of documenting and reporting all relevant customer care information.

Live-in Carer -

Live-in Carers provide a high quality live-in care service for those who require more extensive care support. They have similar duties to Care Assistants (see above) but provide a more in depth service and stay with our customers overnight throughout the duration of their care package. Because of the living arrangements, Live-in carers sometimes come from further afield.

Care Assistant / Live-in Carer Duties and Responsibilities*

To assist customers with all aspects of their personal care
To assist customers with all aspects of medication
To assist customers with all aspects of their meal preparation
To support customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
To support customers with home management
To help in the promotion of a customer’s mental and physical activities
To document and report all relevant customer information
To support a customer through temporary or terminal illness
To work as part of the Bluebird Care team

*This list represents some of the main duties but is not exhaustive.
