***Spire fm charity duck race***
The Spire fm charity duck race is on Saturday 15th June.
Spire fm are sending 100 ducks racing down the river Avon, and Sirius Quack, our sponsored Bluebird Care duck, is one of them.
... You get the chance to vote on a duck and, if your duck is first across the finish line, you’re in the draw to win £1000 in cash.
Spire fm is also donating £1000 to the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital.
Entry is simple - go on to the win section of Spire fm and select your duck.
You can also come and cheer on the ducks at The Maltings Shopping Centre, Salisbury from 11am on Saturday 15th June.
May the best duck win (hopefully that’s our Bluebird Care duck!)

Rayna has accompanied her husband to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace - tea with the Queen - what an honour.

***Book month***
April is book month at Bluebird Care.
We're using this month to celebrate the power of reading and the joy it can bring to so many. It's well documented that reading can bring so many mental benefits including improving memory, reducing stress and alleviating anxiety and depression.
... My favourite author is James Patterson and there isn't a week that goes by when I don't find a few spare moments to curl up with one of his books.
Rayna, our Care Manager also enjoys a good read and has just finished reading a real tear jerker of a book - Me before you - apparently its a really great read but too sad to smile!

***Fond memories***
If you are a regular follower of our page you'll know that we have moved in to our wonderful new offices recently.
One thing we've always wanted is to have enough space to create our memory wall - and now we do!
... It's always hard saying goodbye to our Customers, either when they pass away, or move on to the next stage of their care which might be a care home. So now we can remember them within our office by displaying their picture on our tree.
It's still a work in progress and we're looking forward to watching it grow but we are delighted with it so far - what do you think?
