Our services support you to maintain your chosen lifestyle. We believe that each customer is unique, with their own individual preferences and needs. So, we keep you in control and provide you with the homecare and support that you want, where and when you want it. It’s your life and your care, so it must be your way.
The services we offer
... We offer flexible care services for you to choose from. These could be anything from a 30 minute visit to live in care. Some customers may want short term help, following an illness or because their usual carer is having a break. Other customers may want long term homecare and support.
Our dedicated team of home care workers are fully trained to:
- Assist with a ‘good morning’ start to the day, helping you to get up, wash, shower or bathe, get dressed and have breakfast - Remind or assist you to take your medicines and collect or return medication from your pharmacy or dispensing GP surgery - Prepare meals with or for you and assist you at mealtimes - Collect your pension for you or with you - Shop with you or help you to make a shopping list, go to the shops, come back and put it all away - Help with your laundry or ironing and keeping your home clean and tidy - Support you with social activities such as going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family, going to your church or club etc. - Give a little pampering when you need it – the occasional visit to organise bathing, clean clothes, fresh bedding and a thoughtfully prepared meal before bedtime - At the end of each day, some help with getting ready for bed - Some of our offices can also offer homecare and support to children and their families either on a regular basis or for short term respite care - Please contact us to discuss how we can create a bespoke homecare service to meet your needs.

This Dementia Action Week is all about encouraging everyone to take action by starting a conversation with someone living with dementia they know. Two-thirds of people living with dementia report feeling lonely and isolated.

What does a Bluebird Care assistant do ? Well they help people to stay longer in their homes. Often you help them get up in the morning, prepare breakfast, medication prompting, house keeping chores, companionship , tea and evening meal preparation , bed assistance etc.
If you are level headed and good with thinking out of the box, then this is something you can do . As we provide Care in the community, it means you will need to drive from customer to customer . So it is a requirement to be a driver and have use of a car for work purposes. we are looking for full time but also partime workers, morning shifts from 7 am -2pm, evenings from 5-10 pm , you have to work alternate weekends. If interested to work only evenings and weekends , we would love to hear from you as well.
You do need to speak Good English .

A new type of dementia has been identified and is being called LATE.
LATE has previously been confused with Alzheimer’s due to the protein that mimics symptoms seen in people with Alzheimer’s. LATE is thought to affect around 20% of over 80s and it is possible to have both Alzheimer’s and LATE.
This new discovery may explain why recent medical trials for Alzheimer’s treatments haven’t worked.

Today our team will be running a stall at Tesco in Applemore, where we raising awareness for Mental Health Month. Bluebird Care recently became a “Mindful Employer” and has trained all their staff members in Mental Health. It is crucial for our staff to support not only our customers but also our own staff in the field.
