Fantastic place; really can only say one negative thing and that is that the front of house is appalling. We called and were categorical told that they are fully booked and nobody could come in and we needed a week in advance booking. However, we walked in and were greeted with a warm smile and seen to our table. Fantastic food, fantastic wait staff, shocking front of house.

Excellent, friendly, welcoming service. Great food; we had three of the new mains and they were delicious! Would definitely visit again for a special meal.

Rude staff. We were ignored for ten minutes standing at the door to be greeted, let alone get a table. Decided to leave and choose an alternative establishment 'Beaufort House' just down the road who provided a far superior level of service. Would not revisit if you paid me.

(First review) The restaurant was that bad!
Very poor service. Waiters were condescending and were just plain rude. Food was dry, overpriced and took too long to be prepared (40 minute wait between starter and main course). Unable to carry out a conversation with anyone due to the loud and thumping club-like music. Decor was fantastic but unfortunately that's the only positive thing to say about the place! I expected better from a restaurant in such a prime location. Clearly out classed by the other great restaurants down the road. Truly one of the worst restaurant experiences.

Good burgers, OK service. I expected more from them. Room for improvement. Xx

Good atmosphere and very Lovely staff and food was not too bad neither. Waited a while to be seated but only thing management can probably improve on perhaps Sundays lunchtime being too busy and people wanting to eat queuing for too long when I saw someone Skyping their parents, taking selfies etc and had only a coffee in front of them in a 4 seater table! Would like to come back and give a 5 star next time.

Upscale venue for our annual staff party. They cater well for 40 people with an air of 'special'. Food good, wine excellent. Location is a bit off (my) beaten track, but once you're there it's a great private dining and group venue. The downstairs restaurant is a bit 'open' and impersonal for my liking, but my colleagues disagree with me ;)

Had afternoon tea here! It was well worth the price which was very affordable for afternoon tea in London. The best part were the sandwiches, there were 3 kinds. The scones and clotted tea were delicious. There was also coffee cake and 3 types of sweeter desserts! I've had more expensive tea at an upscale London hotel which means you pay almost double for the more formal environment and food but I would say this was pretty good tasting for the price! The first timers in my party were very happy.

The environment was great, lots of cozy couches and sofas, lots of natural light, and greenery as decoration. It was cozy and a nice unique place to drink tea and catch up with friends while on vacation.

They did not rush us for tea and we stayed past 5pm until they started dimming the lights for cocktail hour. Service was a bit slow and we did have a hard time finding the waiters for extra hot water or milk. They also forgot to serve 2 in our party their tea in the beginning until we had to wait to find them and ask for it.

Despite this I would still recommend afternoon tea here for the price.
