A Dell

One very unhealthy 27″ Apple iMac, badly cracked front glass and fans completely blocked with dust causing it to overheat and switch off. Stripped the iMac down and removed the logic board to get to the fans, cleaned out both fans and vents. Re-assembled the iMac and replaced the front glass with new and it’s ready to return to it’s very happy owner, all done in under a week and at a reasonable price!

Apple class any of their products over 5 years old as vintage and provide no hardware service as the owner of this iMac found out when it stopped switching on. They brought it to me and after stripping it down and replacing the faulty power supply which had a blown capacitor with a new one it's good to go again :)

Customer brings in a laptop that's badly overheating and very slow. Laptop stripped down, fan cleaned, new thermal paste applied and it's now purring along nicely at a cool 42°. One happy customer and all done within 24 hours. Computer problems? Call us on 01243 216313.

Friday Fact: Apollo 11 was the first spaceflight that landed man on the moon, it had less computing power than a modern day calculator and the processor in an iPhone 6 is about 120,000,000 times faster than the Apollo computer!!

It's already looking like it's going to be a busy week with a good number of the jobs booked in being related to Windows 10 problems. My advice if you haven't already upgraded is to wait, problems ranging from poor WiFi, no sound, missing start menus, roll back issues etc.. make doing it a risky business, some customers have been successful with no issues at all others have had problems... Still Microsoft are keeping me busy!!
