We were at blueprint cafe yesterday, for my sons birthday, had a fantastic lunch, well looked after by all the staff, and they made his day special by putting happy birthday on his dessert, would highly recommend, hopefully will return one day , thankyou

We went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were placed on a table with a great view of the river and Tower Bridge. There were some problems with the food but the restaurant dealt with it very well and we came away thinking we'll go back when the weather is brighter. Thanks to the staff for working hard and producing a good meal for a reasonable price.

We got married here last year and in the rooms upstairs in partnership with the Design Museum. Absolutely magical! Returned yesterday for our 1st anniversary for a surprise lunch organised by my lovely husband and it brought all the memories flooding back - including how great the food and staff are! Thank you for treating us so warmly!

User

We celebrated my husbands birthday here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful, professional yet warm and extremely attentive. The table had stunning views of Tower Bridge which was all lit up. The food was great value for money, perhaps the menu could be a bit more exciting but I do highly recommend the steak served with oysters. The restaurant manager brought out the cake singing happy birthday and was genuinely nice.

I will definitely return, I think it will be a great venue for the summer.

This was our third visit to the Blueprint Cafe and as with our previous visits, the food & service was very good indeed. We took our American friends along this time and they loved the views of the Thames and nearby Tower Bridge. Special mention must go to Mehdi our waiter who was attentive and pleasant too.

User

Just the best view ever in the daytime and evening is magical. Very reasonably priced set menu. We all enjoyed the meal. This had been my 3rd visit and I will definitely be going back again to introduce more friends to a great venue

Just celebrated my wife's birthday here. Absolutely beautifully cooked, well presented, so yummy food! Attentive, warm, professional staff. They made wife feel so special, adding a personalised 'Happy Birthday' touch to her dessert. Daughters loved it. Lovely ambiance. Great view of Tower Bridge and the serene feel being next to the Thames. Highly recommended. Thank you for your excellence Blueprint Cafe. Looking forward to coming back.

I went to Blueprint Cafe with my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner this week and it was absolutely fantastic! The view over the Thames and Tower Bridge is just breathtaking and I will definitely be back again. We had the pork belly and baked salmon with the chocolate profiteroles for dessert and they were all delicious. Great presentation and portion size, attention to detail and beautifully balanced flavours. The staff were very accommodating and the chef even came out with a personalised 'happy anniversary' dessert at the end of the evening and delivered it to our table. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends!!

User

Great food, great service and, as always, the best view in London. Fun, friendly and helpful. Great place to spend a couple of lazy hours.

User

Fantastic view and don't be put off by it being call led a cafe as it's misleading. What wonderful food and service.

User

Chris and I had a fantastic time at #blueprintcafe's wine dinner last night, great company , great wines from the stellenbosch , great food and wonderfully looked after by Oliver and Charlie ! Cracking views of the river too!

User

Admittedly this review is for a visit more than 6 months ago but just want to say that it was wonderful. Staff were very attentive but not constantly interrupting. The food was excellent (an evening menu with a chef's selection I believe) neither too much (loaded plates) or too little (snacks after). Very reasonably priced considering the area and if you can get a seat the views. I definitely want to visit again.

User

I like the oyster starter, it's fresh and nice. The main course salmon is very good. But I don't like the roasted pork that much. Nice campaign, and the view is just perfect! very good place to chill in the afternoon, enjoy the view of London!

User

Great service and great food. Loved the views. We had champagne which was fab and the red wine was amazing and all good value too.

User

The food was delicious and service was excellent. The down side is the tatty entrance and thread bare carpet. A make over would make this an excellent restaurant.

User

Ok lovely location overlooking the Thames and great views of Tower Bridge. Nice table / lovely starters - long wait for main course - with no apology from the staff. No Merlot!!! No Presecco!!!!! Just very expensive wines!

Would say a little pricey and think they are taking advantage of location!

User

Good restaurant good food and great location but in desperate need of a refurbishment as the space could be amazing!

My son and I arrived excited to have lunch at this icon.

This place can claim to have made pesto and rocket the restaurant staples they are now.

We both had the ham hock terrine with home made piccalilli... looked great... tasted delicious.

Our taste buds were on full alert for a real treat.

Then it went wrong!

Two servers turned up with our main courses, just as we were finishing our last mouthfuls of terrine.

I had to gather up our starter plates whilst the main courses were placed in front of us.

The food looked Devine!

But my son's pork chop was practically raw( de picture)

One server looked at us blankly... the room supervisor assured us that pork should be served rare ( but being British we were food savages)

She offered to make the pork well done... I asked for simply cooked instead.

There were only 3 or 4 tables.

The kitchen obviously wanted to go home.

Our lunch was ruined.....

This once mighty icon of food is now but a shadow of itself and it's former glory

I am not angry.... but rather sad

I took my friend here on Saturday to celebrate her birthday. I'd looked at the menu beforehand and decided on the shepherd's pie. On arrival, we were only given one brunch menu by the waitress, shepherd's pie wasn't an option, so I assumed they didn't offer that on a Saturday and opted for the steak plus bottomless prosecco. The waitress poured the prosecco - the dregs of an already opened bottle which was very flat. I asked for a new one with fizz in and she declared the bottle was open for less than two hours. I explained it was very flat - it literally didn't have one bubble in it. She said again it had been open less than two hours. I said I'd like a fresh glass again then she laughed at me - I would not usually put up with such behaviour but I was so shocked and taken aback I couldn't speak! My friend waded in and the waitress agreed to pour a fresh glass. The waitress went to the bar to find a new bottle, taking her time. In the meantime, my friend spotted that a fellow diner had a shepherd's pie!

A man who I believe to be the manager could see we were disgruntled and came over and thankfully he was the saving grace of the day. He said we should have been given two menu options to start with and subsequently gave us a shepherd's pie on the house as our mains were, by that point, already prepared. He also ordered me a fresh glass of prosecco (the waitress had gone awol by this point) and checked in regularly with us from then on, even offering us a coffee on the house. While he was fantastic, our experience was spoilt by the one-menu option and laughing waitress, which was, as you can imagine, very infuriating and rude. Also, the restaurant asked on two occasions during the booking process whether it was a special event and I said it was was my friend's birthday but nothing was made of it. There was slight false hope as they'd asked on the first booking and again on the follow up call to check if the booking was going ahead 24 hours prior. While the food was very good and the manager's dealing of the waitress situation was applaudable, the experience wasn't one I'd like a repeat of.
