Quick reminder that the closing date for applications is next Sunday, 31st March. Sunday will also be the last senior belt training session before the grading, 6.00-7.30pm - final chance to get in some focus practice to supplement your usual training.

This month's Sport Taekwondo / Competition Sparring training will be on Saturday 12.00-2.00pm. This is open to all Bluewave members trainining in junior or senior classes and is free, £5 to non-Bluewave members.
Usual format. One hour of drills, technique and tactics followed by one hour of practice matches using our KP&P electronic scoring system.

Reminder that it is Competition Poomsae Training tomorrow, 12.00-2.00pm all grades, 2.00-3.00pm extra hour for dan grades only. Free to all Bluewave members. Other British Taekwondo members also very welcome, only £5.

Our next competition poomsae training session will be this coming Saturday, 9th March, from 12.00-2.00 for all grades with the usual extra hour from 2.00-3.00pm for dan grades only.

For the first time ever the WT World Championships will be hosted in the UK. 15th-19th May in Manchester. This is your chance to see the world's best in competition!

Open class with Head Instructor of the Worldwide Taekwondo Chungdokwan Federation. Suitable for all ages and grades. £5 for Bluewave members and £15 for non-members. Please register for the event so we can manage the number of attendees.

We will be hosting our 3rd Annual Poomsae Championships on Saturday 1st June 2019.
As with an successful event it’s the volunteers who truly make the day great and run as smoothly as possible! We are looking for lots of volunteers to help us make this competition even bigger and better than last year.
So if you would like to get involved with setting up, managing competitors or even running the scoring we would love you help- even if you have no Taekwondo experience we wil...l have a job for anyone.

We will be running a Dan grading on Sunday 14th April. This grading will be for candidates for 1st to 4th Dan and will be held our dojang in Basingstoke. We welcome candidates from both Bluewave and other British Taekwondo clubs. If you would like more details please send an email to info@bluewave.org.uk.
Our second Dan grading of 2019 will be on Sunday 13th October.

Second grading of the weekend, with more excited KickStars at the Saturday class. On to the grading for juniors and seniors tomorrow, particularly excited to have a good sized group of adult beginners for their first grading.

First grading of a busy weekend finished. What an excited group of 4-6 year old KickStars with their new belts! Saturday KickStars grading about to start and then onto the grading for juniors and seniors tomorrow!

New KPNP electronic scoring system tested and ready to go! First outing will be at tomorrow's sport class from 12.00-2.00pm. Come along at have a try!

A really good weekend of training at Bluewave. Our regular classes on Saturday saw a great turnout of 18 at our KickStar class including a new beginner and then 22 at the Junior class.
An excellent competition poomsae session then followed led by Coleen Reilly. Good to see so many students there - from age 7 to 60 + and 8th Kup to 7th Dan. Looking forward to seeing you all at the next competition poomsae session on the 9th March preparing for the 3rd Annual Bluewave Poomsae ...Championships.
The weekend's sessions finished off with a record turnout of 21 for the Family class on Sunday, with all 4 of those who attended 'taster sessions' last week returning and yet another new beginner!

Unfortunately we had to postpone last Saturday's scheduled competition poomsae training because of the snow. We will therefore now be running the training this Saturday from 12.00 - 2.00pm all grades with an extra hour for dan grades from 2.00 - 3.00pm.
Free to all Bluewave members. We are also always delighted to see people from other clubs along, open to all British Taekwondo members just £5.

We will be going ahead with today's classes. There will be an open class from 4.00-5.00pm for all kickstars and juniors and then the regular family class from 5.00-6.00pm. Please do however be careful as some side roads are difficult and there is still ice and snow on the car park at VBC.

With the continuing snow and poor road conditions, we have unfortunately decided that it is necessary to cancel all classes for today and tomorrow.
The competition poomsae class scheduled for tomorrow will be postponed until next week. This will now run on Saturday 9th February, 12.00-2.00pm all grades with an extra hour from 2.00-3.00pm for dan grades.
We will run an additional class on Sunday at 4.00pm so that there is an opportunity for the Kickstars and Juniors who are ...missing classes today and tomorrow to train.
The revised schedule for this weekend will therefore be;
Friday - no classes Saturday - no classes
Sunday 4.00 - 5.00pm Extra class open to all Kickstars and Juniors 5.00 - 6.00pm Family class will run as usual. All members 7+ welcome

It is our current plan to run all three of today's classes, however a final decision will be made at 4pm based on snow and road conditions. If we find it necessary to cancel, a notice will be put on the website and post on the club Facebook page.

As conditions are still clear, tonight's class is on.

Wonderful students, great coaches, lovely atmosphere and the opportunity for progress at your own pace. My daughter would quite happily go every day if she could.

My son absolutely loves his lessons here. Love seeing what he's learnt each week.
