Blurton And Dresden Parish Description
Welcome to the Facebook page for Blurton and Dresden Parish. We have two Churches' that make up the parish, these are St Bartholomew's, (Church road, Blurton) &
St Albans (Part of St Albans Community Centre) Finstock Avenue, Blurton, ST3 3JU.
St Bartholomew's Is the parish's oldest church.
It was built in the late 16th century and offers a more traditional service than St Albans.
St Bartholomew's services are:
on a Sunday
At 8AM.
We hold a quiet half an hour communion service using the old Prayer Book.
9. 30 AM
We hold the Holy Communion Service where we have the Organ, Choir and Hymns. We Have a sunday school open for the Children.
After the service we serve Tea and Coffee Where all are welcome.
6. 30 PM
We Hold Evensong.
On Wednesday at 10AM.
We hold a said Holy Communion.

St Alban's is a newly built building which has a more modern feel and offers a more modern service.
St Albans services are: -
11AM
We hold the Holy Communion service with a music group which consists of Guitars, Keyboard and singers. We sing more contemporary songs that are displayed via an over head projector. This service also runs a sunday school during the service.
On the 3rd sunday of every month we hold a family service instead of the Holy Communion Service, This service has no communion and is more for the children as it will usually involve a small play of some games.
During this service we invite all the babies that have been baptised over the month to be welcomed and receive their baptism certificates. We serve Tea and Coffee After the services where all are welcome.
