Allow us to introduce our philosophy. We are a group of young villagers that want to celebrate and share the things that really make Basing a place to be proud of. We believe that everyone who lives, works or has an interest in Old Basing has a right to be represented within these pages. We believe that we should be proud of our local places of heritage and beauty and that their events should be featured free within these pages. We believe that we should support our village's various businesses and their local produce. We believe that everyone has a story to tell and they should be free to share it if they so choose. We believe in a bright and happy future for our village. Most of all, we believe that Old Basing, Basingstoke, Hampshire is one of the most amazing places in the United Kingdom. On the 2nd July 2012 Bo-Basing incorporated as a community interest company. This means that our profits are reinvested in projects that benefit our community. It was always an easy decision for us to become a CIC, after all we have had such a happy time living within the parish of Old Basing and Lychpit, that we felt that it was only right to give something back to the village. The process itself wasn't necessarily the easiest path to tread, as CICs are still a relatively new phenomenon and so there weren't that many people to turn to for advice. However, once we had the company papers through, every second felt worth the effort involved.
