We visited on the off chance of getting a table after another restaurant we planned on going to was closed. We were told that it was full but that they'd try to squeeze us in and I'm so glad they did! The food was amazing - tasted really fresh and homemade. A wide variety to choose from and very reasonably priced too! Definitely recommend ’┐Į

We stopped in for a bite to eat & a drink on our way back to the car. We the bodega especial, 3 fishy tapas & they were lovely. With the quality if the food it was just like being in a tapas bar in Spain!!

We loved this bar! Lovely atmosphere and great holiday feel.... perfect if you want to sit outside and look over the bay.... or just as fabulous inside... lovely decor and staff very friendly and welcoming! Thankyou weŌĆÖll definitely be back.

Book a hotel deal that includes dinner. Obviously can't go to Bodega so book a second night in Bowness just to go there! Not the first time I have done this.

After reading the reviews I was a little unsure about this place .... however , Absolutely THEE best tapas IŌĆÖve had in a long time ... service was on point and the food was fantastic.... I strongly recommend people to try it out ...

We went here on a recommendation from a friend who said the food was brill. We were not disappointed!! We ordered 3 tapas dishes each (which we wolfed down...) and it was gorgeous. The beef skewers were very salty and a little bit pink for our tastes. Very tasty however overall and if my stomach would have let me, I would have eaten it all over again. We also had a dessert to finish our meal, I had churros and my partner had the gluten free Toblerone cake. What a way to end a beautiful meal and would certainly recommend the gluten free cake. Well priced and certainly worth the visit. Thank you!

Always visit here when we come to Bowness, a lovely friendly atmosphere, but was disappointed with my cocktail, a sex on the beach should not be shaken!!!!!!!

Went in tonight, Tuesday, to be told upstairs closed have to eat in bar, no tables available we had to go elsewhere. Shame because I like it there.

Amazing food but service really bad and was continually waiting for drinks and had to wait an hour for the food to arrive. It was not that busy either so did not understand why service bad. A real shame given the food was so great.

Bar staff ridiculously slow. Crowded bar yet seem more interested in putting glasses back in place. Priorities in the wrong place better places in the area.

After hearing so many wonderful things about this restaurant we thought we would give it a try. On first walking in, we asked for a table for two and the waiter simply pointed to a table and didn't even speak. My husband asked what beers they had and the waiter simply responded by pointing to the menu.

We decided on the food we wanted and when the waitress came over we read her the numbers out. After each number she said the name of the dish and we confirmed that they were all correct.

Shortly after a different waiter came and brought us our food, however we noticed that one dish wasn't correct so told the waiter. He responded by saying 'That is what you ordered' and placed it down on the table. We told him that we had ordered beef skewers not beef stew and that the waitress had read it to us. The waiter was extremely rude telling us that we had ordered it and that we had to have it now.

I told him that it wasn't what we had ordered for a forth time when he eventually agreed to change it for us. I have never in my life experienced such appalling service from a restaurant.

The food was delicious however our negative experience means that we definitely would not visit again.

The night after we visited Villa Positana a few doors down where we received impeccable and friendly service.

Completely ignorant staff! Tried to have a bit of chat, spoke Spanish only to be told ŌĆ£do I look fuckin SpanishŌĆØ then asked what some other couple ordered.... look at the fuckin menu.... place should be condemed!

Awful. We found some sort of insect in our Fajita dish towards the end of finishing, and obviously complained. We were very subtle about it, because everyone else seemed to be enjoying their food, however when we complained the waitress just took away the dish and left us waiting for 15 minutes. We were then told that they would discount the fajita dish off our bill, which we weren't too happy about. The manager then came up and said that she will knock off another tapas dish, which still didn't please us. The drinks were lovely and we were happy to pay for them as they had amounted to well over half of our bill, but the food we still had to pay for. The staff were rude and tried to make excuses as to how it had got in there, and obviously didn't understand why we weren't happy. We decided to return later in the evening for a drink, however got stared out by all of the staff, making us feel awkward and uncomfortable, resulting in us leaving again before we have even ordered. Service has definitely gone down hill, and the insect was the icing on the cake.
