Was travelling back to Wales and I was in an electric car. Found a place to charge the car in Worcester and went for a wander around. I found Bodega and saw they had a lunchtime menu deal for £6. I popped in and was met with a lovely warm welcome from the staff. I ordered the beef burrito and was offered a few options but went fairly standard. It was lovely food. Once i had finished I told the waitress I was waiting for the car to charge and she said well just sit here for a while and take your time. Needless to say I went there again on the way back home. This time I had the mole chicken, again very tasty. I will go back again even if I don't have to charge a car! Highly recommended

My first time eating at Bodega after being nagged by son for ages to go, and I wasn't dissapointed. Service was quick and friendly and the food was really good.

Will definatley be going back again.

User

My boyfriend and I had a delicious meal for lunch. The staff were fantastic and very friendly and attentive . Food was fantastic and the drinks were lovely.

User

Loved the homemade nachos, red stripe on draught and the mojitos. Great service too.

User

I've been in for lunch on 3 occasions in the past few weeks and I've really enjoyed it every time. Whilst I enjoyed the burger on the first two occasions, I thought that the Lomo Saltado was something else yesterday; A truly fantastic dish! Your staff have also been very welcoming, friendly and helpful too. A special mention to the nice lady called Frankie who served me on my first two visits, for the message on the back of my bill thanking me for my visit and wishing me a nice day; Whilst this may seem like such a small thing, it's things like that which help you feel truly appreciated as a customer and not like a number, like you can be made to feel at some other restaurants. Keep up the great work everyone as I aim to visit your fine restaurant many more times!

User

I've been a couple of times now and have to say how shocked I am at some of the negative comments! I would definitely say that any service/staff issues have been addressed in this still relatively new establishment.

For us the service was spot on and the food was delicious. It's a vibrant and cool place that was busy throughout, which suggests its popularity. Me, my partner and our friends had a splendid evening and will most definitely be returning!

User

I love it at Bodega Worcester. Each time I arrive the staff are friendly and serve up perfect cocktails.

Me and friends ate there today and we all enjoyed our meals, one of the guys is a vegan and was surprised with the range available.

The manager made sure our orders were as we wanted and we were well looked after. We were even told that a table could be set up outside if we wanted when the sun come out.

Needless to say we will all be drinking and dining there again soon!

Great stuff- cheers guys

Highly recommend this place! Booked in with the hope that we could bring a cake and balloon but the weather made us change our plans. They were very helpful and also moved our booking to accomodate the trains being cancelled. Got the venue and unfortunatly it was closed until an hour after our booking, as i turns out (due to crossed wires) they had rang me to change the time but we never got the message, even though it wasnt their mistake they still gave us a discount on the meal to make it up to us! The meal itself was lovely, the service was great aswell. Will defo be returning soon!!!!

User

Fantastic authentic Mexican food. Heat in the Chilli con carne. Great garnishes. And the Espresso Martinis made by Owen are insane. And Christos is an absolute legend. What a fantastic night. Go. You will love it.

User

Went for a meal with my brother and dad, brilliant waitress she was lovely and definitely knew what she was doing. Some of the food was bland but most of it was lovely expecially the nachos (me and dad loved them) overall had a brilliant time there, dad also enjoyed his free cocktail for fathers day!! The chefs also made my brother something that used to be on the menu but not anymore so he was delighted he got what he wanted.

Thank you very much for a lovely time

User

Very disappointed tonight. Usually so nice, but I ordered something different, when it arrived it didn't match the menu description, felt dismissed when I queried this with a member of staff. Other elements of the meal were disappointing , however, when raised with the duty manager he did rectify this by offering a refund on the dish in question.

User

Myself & a friend went to just drink some cocktails.

4-7pm happy hour drinking Mojitos we found them a bit expensive cocktails were £6.50 each but when I asked for the happy hour deal was still charged £13.00 for two so no,deal not such a happy hour.

User

Starter was the only part of the meal which was enjoyable. Homemade nachos with chilli was lovely but mains were very disappointing. Beef and veg dish was covered in coriander which over powered everything else in the bowl meaning my boyfriend didn't finish the meal. Quesadilla was a tiny serving, we feel this should have been mentioned at the time of ordering as the waitress knew it was intended as a main. Drinks took a long time to come to the table although it was only a Pepsi, arrived after the meal was finished. We left quickly and left still feeling hungry. Very disappointed

User

Not great. Gf food was drenched with hot sauce, was meant to 'medium' but it tasted of nothing but hot sauce. Was removed from the bill but only when I challenged the bil.

What I found most annoying is being charged for extra sour cream (only a nominal fee) but are you trying to be a nice resturant or a McDonalds?

While the waiting staff try their best the general organisation by management and customer service are poor. Long waiting periods, incorrect tables reservation, incorrect orders and very poor attitude by a male manager ruined a birthday meal out with friends. Many tables waiting for service while customers at the bar are prioritized over the diners. Waiting staff work hard and should be commended but poor management has let the place down which is a shame as it was the preferred place to eat.

User

Totally and utterly disappointed. Waited ages to go here and won't be going back. Not only was the food stone cold, the waitress argued the toss that it was the salad making it feel cold!!! Then she said i've got the manager to agree not to charge you for the food. New flash buttercup, we ain't paying for inedible food. Rubbish food and all the customer service if faulty towers.

My partner and I went to Bodega on Forgate St. on Saturday evening and I felt compelled to share our experience and how awful it was from an accumulation of small negative experiences.

Firstly we arrived and the place was busy with custom yet there was no greeter at the door. After waiting for about 10 minutes debating on whether or not we would get drinks from the bar, we mainly wanted to know how long a table would be. So my partner eventually goes in among seated diners to ask a waitress, she politely apologises and says we could have a table in 15 minutes. In the mean time another ignored couple who came into Bodega after us do the same, this time speaking to a gentleman in a suit shirt. This gentleman promtly seated this complaining couple before us with no oversight to the rest of the waiting customers at the door. We finally were seated about half an hour after my partner approached the waitress, who couldn't even remember his name.

We ordered our food and were absolutely starving by this point. Bare in mind I am currently 6 and a half months pregnant, and my miniature boy was protesting big time by this point.

We had the fried tortilla chips and guacamole to curb starvation while we waited. The guacamole was fresh and tasted pleasant, however the fried tortilla chips were cold, soggy and unfortunately as tasteless as I imagine a wet box would be.

My partner had the jalapenos bites and quesadillas. While I stuck to a large plate meal and chose Burger a la parilla. My partner loved the salsa that came with the quesadillas despite the tiny serving, and the quesadillas themselves he said were delicious although he had expected more than just 2 quarter servings respectively. Additionally he only received 4 jalepeno bites despite the menu stating the serving contained 5. We asked for mayonnaise dip when the food was delivered, however my partner had nearly finished his meal by the time this arrived.

While waiting for his mayonnaise we sat waother waitress on shift. She appeared to be counting her tips or orders at the bar with the other two whilst my partner continued to eat his meal sans mayonnaise. Then she suddenly remembered after spotting us watching her.

My meal consisted of my burger, slaw and a side of 10 individual sweet potato fries. The fries were delicious yet I felt cheated with such a small serving, it was like a count down making them stretch across the whole meal. I could have easily down the 10 fries in seconds given half a chance. The burger on the other hand was chewy, full of those annoying grizzly bits and felt like it had been forgotten on the grill from it's complete and utter dryness.

After our meal I desperately wanted churros to end with, once again my miniature man has me craving anything sweet and deliciously naughty. All three of the previously mentioned front of house staff seem to have perfected the ability to ignore their customers. By this point the restaurant was emptying and there were more empty tables then seated so we expected more. Yet the gentleman in the smart shirt has this gold medal skill to avoid eye contact of any kind. He spent his time clearing glasses, playing hand drums on the bar, chatting to the kitchen staff casually leaning through the hatch or just working on maxing out his step count. All while avoiding any human contact of any kind. So my partner ended up having to get up from our table and find a waitress to place the order.

The churros were slightly undercooked in the centre albeit yummy.

Once again after receiving the bill we waited for the waitress to come take our payment. I gave up and left the table to go find her and tell her we were waiting and ready to pay. By this point the lesson we have taken from Bodega is if you want to go for a sub par meal and be ignored and take a 5 star class in waiting, this is definitely the place to go.

However I must say the only staff I have failed to mention are the bar staff. I would definitely recommend this establishment if all you want is a good cocktail, then leave for food elsewhere.

I have just come back from an evening at Worcester Bodegas that I can only describe as dreadful.

We were waiting for a really long time until we were seated, even though the waitress had clocked us entering and wasn’t doing anything else. Once we got to our table, it was another 10/15 mins until we were offered to take our drink order, even though their wasn’t many tables in at this time and two managers stood talking by the till. Once we got our drinks, we then waited even longer to order our food.

My two friends both couldn’t have their original order because items had ran out. My one friend is vegetarian and doesn’t like mushrooms, she spoke to the waitress about having a ‘veggie mix’ wrap and the waitress mentioned that they were out of mushrooms anyway.

When our food eventually arrived, nearly an hour later, my veggie friend was given a mushroom and rice wrap, which she then couldn’t even eat half of.

We couldn’t tell anyone because there were no ready staff and by this point we just wanted to eat.

During our wait, three tables walked out.And during paying at the till, we got talking to another group who were complaining to the staff about having waited and HOUR and only then getting their drinks. The staff weren’t apologetic or bubbly and friendly which would have at least softened the situation.

We complained about the veggie dinner to the manager behind the bar when paying, who apologised and blamed it on ‘being bank holiday weekend’. We ordered when there were about 3 other tables eating. She didn’t write down our order and therefore cannot see how this was the fact it’s a Thursday nights fault. We weren’t offered any kind of compensation or treat for the terrible evening and left all £20 lighter, empty bellied and disappointed.
