Musical and drama pursuits are encouraged at Bodmin College, and our Jazz Orchestra is known both throughout the region and also internationally. ūüéľūüé≠ūüéĻūüé∑ūüéł
Our equally popular annual drama and musical productions involve a large number of students and members of the community - including students from primary schools, former students and even parents! ūüėé
Today students in Years 9, 10 and 12 worked with ex student and illustrator, Merran Coleman.
The students worked on drawings of beasts and monsters and these will be displayed in the shop window of Threshers in Bodmin over Heritage weekend! Two members of staff, Dr Dixon and Mr Saunter are cycling from Bristol to Lands End next weekend in aid of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). Cycle4Tom is particularly important to us here at Bodmin College as Tom was in our sixth-form and sadly died of Sudden Death Syndrome aged only 22. There will be 2 days of heart screening for 14-35 year olds here at the college in December but we hope that your support will go towards more. 12 young people a week die of SDS so PLEASE sup...port!
