To all of our Shellac and Bio clients, we have put together some information on the safe removal of your gel nails at home - please do not peel them off as this can cause damage :( We have a supply of remover kits with everything you will need for £10 - please email us at relax@bodyimage if you would like one. This can be purchased over the phone and delivered to your door.
What you will need: 10 small squares of tin foil, cotton wool pads, wood stick, and remover Solution.
... 1) Pour enough solution into a glass or ceramic dish to saturate pieces of cotton.
2) Saturate a cotton pad and place it on your nail.
3) Take a square of tin foil and wrap the tip of the nail and up the finger (the foil replaces the clips in the video)
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each finger.
4) Once all the fingers are covered in foil, wrap your hands together in a towel to trap the body heat. This will help to speed up the Soak Off process.
Depending on the thickness of your application, Soak Off time can take anywhere from 5 - 15 minutes.
5) After 5 -10 minutes remove the towel. Unwrap the first finger you wrapped. You should see a crackle effect all over the surface of your nails. This indicates that it is releasing from the bed.
Take your wood stick and gently scrape the nail. This should take little to no pressure at all. Of it is not coming off easily replace the foil for another 5 minutes.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 on each nail one at a time.
6) Once you’ve removed all of the Gel, wash your hands
7) Gently buff nail plate to remove debris
8) Apply Solar oil to your nails and cuticles
9) Remember to apply moisturiser and solar oil daily to prevent dryness to the nails

Just a quick message to all of our wonderful clients. It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to temporarily close all Body Image beauty salons to clients from today.
Realistically we are unable to adhere to the social-distancing needed to slow the spread of Coronavirus and feel we need to do the responsible thing for all of our clients and Body Image staff and temporarily close the doors.

We are putting plans in place to still be able to provide you with the opportunity to purchase your beauty products. We are sure our regular lash and Bio/Shellac ladies will need remover kits pretty soon (please do not pick off your overlays and lashes - your therapists are stressing about this!) We will be in touch soon with further information.
