What can I say... absolutely beautiful place. From the minute we arrived we were made welcome by everyone. Top marks to Ceilen (sorry if that's spelled wrong � ) for his front of house welcome. What an absolute � of a chap. Cannot find fault at all ...loved it so much we've already booked to go back.

Went to have afternoon tea with my 2 daughters, friend and her daughter to celebrate mothers day, was amazing beautiful place lovely staff great food what more can you ask for .Would highly recommend it x

We stayed here on 29th June. We booked direct through the hotel and got a good price for B&B. In a great location on Lord St with lots of bars / restaurants nearby and not far from other amenities. Limited parking - 5 pounds overnight. No lift if you struggle with stairs. Great patio area out front. Decor of the bar and restaurant is very stylish. Our room was small but spotlessly clean. Fan, tv, mini fridge. Small shower room. Tricky to get used to settings on the shower. Decor very grey, a pop of colour would be nice. Lovely cooked breakfast etc. Staff friendly and efficient. Bar reasonable prices. Room key cards were tricky and we had to change them a couple of times. Great atmosphere. Was worried it might be too noisy due to location but it was fine. The Bold Hotel is a little gem! Would definitely recommend.

We requested an early check in at 1pm which was ready for us straight away on arrival. The reception guy offered us help with our bags and took us up to our room which was very clean & comfortable. We had a few drinks in the bar which were very reasonably priced & sat outside in the stylish beer garden.

Our room overlooked a very busy bar which was lively until about midnight but then went quiet so didn’t disturb our sleep.

Thank you so much for making my one afternoon in a blue moon child free even better than usual! We turned up unannounced today, at neither lunch or dinner time, and your bar staff and then kitchen staff figured out something vegan for me to eat! Everything was perfect, service, cleanliness and food! Thank you! :)

Stayed here this weekend with my partner and we was made to feel so welcome staff were smart, helpful and kind we will certainly be back here shortly. ��

Recently refurbished to a high spec, the hotel is a pleasure to be in and is therefore more than just a place to put your head. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend staying there. It is in an excellent, central location with several bars and restaurants nearby.

Just had my wedding here, it was fabulous! Function room looked beautiful and the staff were excellent and very attentive. Full marks to the chef for a delicious wedding breakfast!

I called here with two girlfriends for tea on Friday , the ambiance and decor is lovely and very opulent, we loved the background music great vibe! The food was delicious, and our waiter "Vincent" was a star, a true asset to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for him, he gave great professional and polite service from the beginning to the end and even tookmy friends , colourful flirtatious charm in great humour ! We've highly recommended to friends and we are looking forward to returning soon,

Have just spent a long weekend here. It really does say something about a place when my only comaint is i had a wobbly ironing board! Staff were fantastic! Food was fantastic! I could not recommend this place to enough people. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you for making my stay one to remember

Had a fabulous lunch here today. Pate starter was a meal in itself. A whole slab of pate with side salad, chutney, and crunchy bread followed by an enormous beef-burger in my favourite brioche roll with some salad and an enormous onion ring and chips. Was sorry I couldn't manage the chips. Really nicely decorated place and first class service. Thank you all. Really enjoyed.

Great place .. sat outside in the sun .. lovely food and great service from Cailen.. would 100% recommend a visit!

Could not fault this beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant. Food, staff and the room all exceptional. Have booked again as we were checking out as we loved it so much! Definitely recommend.

Went yesterday afternoon for a lovely meal, bit off a wait for main & the dessert but worth the wait, lovely service also will definetly come again when in Southport.

Very expensive drinks , city financial quarter prices . Also since 'the make over' a lot of the chairs are marked , wiping the leather ones or using some fabric cleaner on others , is not rocket science . If you want to charge top end, attention to detail is needed . I always call here when in Southport , staff are attentive , decor , ambiance is great , plus the furniture in the front beer garden is top notch . Thankyou .

I liked it before the revamp,it’s very nice,very modern.I stayed a couple of years ago,loved it.We called in last night for a drink and left half of our beer.It was either past it’s sell by date but to put it bluntly it was crap.We found the bar staff very condescending and superior we won’t be going back.Sorry if this offends.

We went today for a family meal, long wait on the food for not that busy restaurant, coffees after the jugs of milk was so dirty full of stains inside and one of the jugs looked like it had not been washed just new milk pour into it. We mentioned it to the waitress who said I will get you some more milk but the milk was in the coffees by this time. Still charged us full price on the coffee’s no apology

I would give zero stars but it was not an option. Poor service except bar staff were helpful. 3 Waiting staff walked past pad and pen in hand and ignored us. Food very poor bland and tactless the pate came straight out of a supermarket wrapper..
