Another view of #BeautifulBolesworth. A little windy this morning but blowing the Carfest North cobwebs away. Have a great weekend and enjoy the cooler weather.

What a beautiful setting for such a special event. Chris Evans was amazing unsurprisingly – where does he get his energy from ! From arriving at lunchtime Sunday (after most the rain) to leaving at the very end of the night was a most enjoyable day. Every aspect had been caterered for from children to the more elder generations. The facilities were second to none with plenty of refreshments and free water stations through to the public conveniences – they were everywhere and queues certainly went down very quickly. The bands were all amazing and certainly had everyone rocking. Expecting it to be a nightmare to leave at the end of the night, we were again pleasantly surprised by such good organisation and structure of getting everyone out safely. A very HUGE WELLDONE to everyone - it was seamless (in our eyes anyway) We are also delighted that so much money was raised for such a good cause - CHILDREN IN NEED. Roll on next year :o)

We had an excellent day at carfest north. There is so much to do and everything is so well thought through. It was bigger and better than last year, certainly enough to be entertained for a full day. George Ezra, proclaimers and quo were great and chris did a great job of keeping us entertained in between. Came last year. Will be there again next year. Great job guys. Keep it up x

The organisation that went in to the weekend for CARFEST was superb. No queues getting on or off site. The whole area was set out fantastically and we fully enjoyed our weekend. Think we were all very lucky with the weather.

Thank you Bolesworth Estate

User

It was our first time at carfest and myself along with the rest of team 105 racing (105th Manchester scouts) really enjoyed the whole event and we hope every one who had a go pedal car racing with us enjoyed it as much as we love pedal car racing our selves. Big thank you to the organizers for allowing us to take part in the event.

Great venue, everything so well organised from parking to lighting to toilets. Kept clean throughout the day. I’ve been to CarFest at Cholmondeley, Alton Park and now Bolesworth - Bolesworth by far the best. You’ve well and truly cracked it 👍

User

Fantastic day watching the international horse show. My daughter really wanted to buy some Bolesworth merchandise but nothing left once we had finally found the stall which was overlooking the main arena but invisible from the back. My daughter did manage to buy a Liverpool international horse show cap at the end of the day. Please more stalls and stock for next year as we can’t wait to come back

User

Attended CarFesf North yesterday (Friday). Excellent.

Great atmosphere, fantastic cars to see and watch. The weather was tremendous. (That can’t be arranged I know but it just made it even better). Plenty to do, eat/drink (bit on the expensive side so recommend to take some food/drink with you!). After saying that it’s an great full day, even without taking the kids! They did have plenty of free drinking water stations, so fill up and go. With a steam Fairground, horse jumping, stunt bikers, super cars, classic cars To finish the day, superb concert with famous artists on Two stages (even a ‘silent disco’). What a great day. Highly recommend. Loads more. Too many to mention. Already in the diary for 2019. All being well.

User

Place was amazing but just having one toilet on the outside while people were queuing to enter was ridiculous everybody body could see the toilets inside but wasn’t allowed to use them also guests should have been told in advance that the food and drink was cash only and that there was no cash machines on a warm day like yesterday if you had arrived with no cash you wouldn’t have been able to have a drink for 6 1/2 hours also bottles of water at £2.50 was disgraceful especially when no one was allowed to take there own in

User

Fab location but defo needed more loos. I guess that's down to the event organisers. As always the refreshments were extortionate... £5 for small bottle of cider £10 for pint of poms! The weather was beautiful as was the sunset. A bit of confusion over which entrance to use to the park. We received an email with a revised postcode from ticket master.. Completely incorrect took us miles out of the way. Other than than it was a perfect afternoon /evening.

User

Went to see Steps gig here last night. Gig was fantastic, beautiful setting and great atmosphere. Only 2 things that let it down was that you have to pay £5 for parking on top of the tickets that you've already paid for. Then at the end of the night it was like a free for all to exit the car park, no organisation or anybody to direct people out. Sat for over an hour pretty much crawling out of the car park with no marshalls. When we came across a Marshall (right at the exit) told them about the chaos, but didn't seem to care! Another problem was the toilet facilities (or lack of) Around 10 portaloos for the whole crowd of what must've been over 2000 people! Queues of over half an hour no matter what point you went! Other that, excellent night

User

Great venue, great music, Blue were fab and Steps always are, shocked at the fact smoking was allowed in a public venue with children in close proximity and the endless same advert for Mama Mia and 30min wait between acts wasn't the highlight!!

User

Great location but entrance signposting seriously lacking costing us extra in taxi fare from Christleton where we stayed . Once again it must be addressed the toilet ratio for attendees was grossly under estimated spending more time in the queuing than was necessary . Food and drink stalls overpriced . Steps however ... brilliant

User

Great location and backdrop for the concert we attended but as other people have mentioned there was a major problem with toilets and car park management when leaving.

There was definitely nowhere near enough toilets worth queues taking 40 minutes. Even during the main acts the queue remained just as long almost reaching the stage!

Parking was charged at £5.00 per car which seemed well managed on arrival but when it came to the end of the show all staff had disappeared making it a free for all with 4 cars all trying to get out at once through a tiny gap (accident waiting to happen).

With the amount of money made someone should have stayed and managed people to go line by line. Shame the event was let down by two things that could have been managed.

User

Excellent venue. Fabulous weather & sunset.

Bronze ticket purchased through Groupon & it was worth What I paid. Though shame you couldn’t take anything in to sit on 5:25pm til 10:30pm music & no sitting down!

Very disappointed in number of toilet facilities available I counted: 1 disabled. 3 in Gold / Silver area & 11 in Bronze area possibly 1 or 2 outside (but we’re told you had to pay to come back in).

Car park £5 charge didn’t effect us as we were dropped off but utter standstill and chaos for those trying to leave in their cars. Impromptu singalong was great fun tho - thanks girls great car stereo & headlight stage!!

User

Attended the steps concert yesterday and whilst we loved the music there are 2 things worth bearing in mind for your future events Toilets - There were no where near enough toilets for the amount of people attending and the queues for these were ridiculous secondly the car park situation charging people £5 to park and then around an hour to exit the car park due to total grid lock both issues which need looking out with regards to future events.

User

Attended steps gig last night 23/6/18, great location, good set up, nice crowd - HOWEVER the toilet situation was ludicrous to say the least. 18 toilets for what ? 3000? People??? There must have been 50 people in each of the 4 queue at all times, you had to get in the queue before you even wanted the loo to make sure you got to one by the time you needed it. It spoiled what was otherwise a brilliant night. Sort it out for your next event. You must have known how many tickets you sold!!!

Also door staff stopping people from going out to their car ( or indeed to the one toilet outside the gig area) was a little bit much!

We left just before steps had finished which is a shame but you could tell that getting off the grounds would not go well and from other reviews it was a good job we did. If youre charging people to park then surely there should be Marshalls there to direct traffic on departure not jut arrival? ???

I worked at Car Fest for three days and thought the site management was very, very poor. I myself managed to figure out how to get to the nearest car park to my stand only on the last day. Car park management throughout the entire site were absolutely abysmal and literally didn’t have a clue. Positive note was the toilets nearest my stand at Gate 43 were very well kept by a fantastic male attendant who was very proud of them! I heard from lots of families there were nowhere near enough toilets at the festival though. Leaving our stand to get home each day at 6pm was also a nightmare for 2 days, as there was hardly any walk way around the perimeter of the main stage as people had been allowed to pitch up blankets, chairs, etc on all available grass for the concert leaving literally no room for people to walk past. A bottle neck formed and it was horrific trying to get out with all our kit from the day. Changed car parks on the final day so I didn’t have to go anywhere near the main stage. Pricing at the event was a rip off too. £5.50 for one bottle of beer, £9.00 for one portion of fish & chips. Absolutely insanely overpriced. I’ve worked at more efficiently run festivals than this one unfortunately.
