Really enjoyed the whole experience listening to someone passionate about her work. Time to relax afterwards on the balcony for a light lunch which was delicious.

We did the vineyard tour and wine tasting.

Our guide Alan made our tour very enjoyable, entertaining, personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed all the wines we tasted, the Cuvée Noir bubbly red was a pleasant surprise as we don't normally like bubbly wines.

It was an overcast, but pleasant day and we were shown the vineyards and learnt about the interesting history of the place and of the vines. We saw the winery and had the processes explained for the different types of wines. We then saw the bubbly bottles being processed, turned, corked, etc. There were only 6 in our group, which made it intimate and easy to ask Alan questions, which he was very able to answer.

We then were taught how to taste the wines and how to clean the palette between them. They didn't leave that acidic aftertaste that some wines do, being soft and delicate. We didn't feel rushed and had time to enjoy the wines and learn more about them.

We then bought a delicious lunch in the cafe with its views over the vineyard.

Huge thanks to Bolney Estate and special thanks to Nick. I visited here for my partner's 30th birthday, which was very kindly organised outside of the normal tour days/hours by Nick. Great experience, everything on the tour was explained very well by Nick and thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and gorgeous platter of Cheese & Meats. Would highly recommend!!! Look forward to returning with the rest of the family. Many thanks.

We bought a Groupon for £15 for two people to have a tour of Bolney Vineyard, with wine tastings and a cheeseboard.

I have done a few wine tours now in the South of England and this one would place joint first.

We walked to the vineyard from where we were staying.

The tour was excellent and informative, with wine tasting afterwards. We got to see the vineyard and winery. I was impressed with the wine during the tasting and purchased some. Then we had a cheeses, meats, olives and bread, which was delicious.

We then went on a walk by ourselves around the vineyard and saw the beautiful views from the vineyard.

We then headed back to the Cafe. Where you can try more wine!

We shall return with more people!

Bought a bottle of Lychgate Red, made from Rondo grapes, 2013, for 12.99. The price was extreme but I thought I'd try it. It tastes awful and barely good enough for cooking with. No depth whatever, no berry flavour, just a fruit juice with sharp and unpleasant after taste. My elderberry wine, aged for only a year, has more depth and flavour.
