Bone Sweet Home - Lords Of Dogtown Description

My name is Susan, we are a family of 4, husband & 21 year old daughter Gabriella & our dogs, Zukie & Memphis, they are not just our dogs but our companions & friends We live in a 3 bed detached, which has moderate space for dogs to play & are able to care for small- medium dogs, unfortunately we do not accept intact dogs under the age of 12-15 months.

Our back garden is fully fenced with Double Barrier Gates, secured even for the most adventurous dog. I offer a caring home and safe environment for dog boarding, where your dog will be looked after as part of a family & playmate for Zukie & Memphis Your dog will be loved and cared for along with plenty of exercise & a great deal of fun. Our female dog Zukie is 6 yrs old & Memphis is 3 yrs old, both are Spayed and neutered.

If the dogs rest on furniture, this isn't an issue, we have plenty of blankets for them to snuggle into. Don't forget your doggies bed and toys, treats, so that their stay is as comfortable as possible. We live just a few minutes' walk from a couple of playing fields and a short drive to 2 other local nature parks, Lilford Woods and Pennington Flash. We take the dogs out daily for different ventures, country parks, reservoirs and beaches.
We are happy to follow any requirements /rules that will apply to your dog /dogs & look forward to welcoming them into our home.

Daily updates are sent to owners via Whatsapp and also posted on our page

Had a fab day, Angus got in the car so we all went to Pennington for a good swim, splash & play. Angus, Memphis & Zukie enjoying their playtime, even Pepe & Pixie had a paddle & enjoyed roaming, their happy smiling faces off leash just makes you melt.

User

Trip to Specsavers this morning to have the arm fitted back on glasses then lost the glasses on walk whilst carrying Pepe 😳 Nice walk, not too long for little legs Pepe & Pixie & sore foot Memphis on his shoe. Stopped via the field on way back for Zukie to let off a little steam.

User

Mr SulkyPants Memphis gave me his most disgusted look at not being included in our walk... the Guilt that fills you πŸ₯Ί... of course, I gave in ☺
Angus won't travel in the van & today he wouldn't get in the car...πŸ€” so...
How to walk an injured dog, 2 smaller, a large & medium dog. ..
... It was fun, a walk of musical push chair... each were able to take turns walking & resting 😁
New Pushchair ordered today, am also considering a double buggy for the future 🀣

Angus arrived for his holiday, he's happy as Larry... toys, tug & play galore πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Memphis currently called Hoppalong will be excluded from walks over the next few days whilst his antibiotics kick in or can wear a shoe for paved walks but still hops, my poor baby πŸ˜” ...really wish people wouldn't leave glass in the grass or anywhere else 😀.
Daisy & Dolly enjoyed their leaded walk, stopping & sniffing at every hedge, Zukie not so impressed with just a walk, that I took her out again to play at the field.

User

Barney & Zukie having fun wading & cooling off in a muddy puddle, whilst Dolly & Daisy got up close & friendly with another doggy looking to join in... little did Barney know the consequences are a soapy shampoo, dried & brushed & went home smelling of sweet baby powder 😁😍

User

Urghhh...awful weather. Not so leisurely but gusty wet walk before having an afternoon of chicken treats at Nonnas.

User

A surprisingly quiet day with just 4. Took a trip to Lilford Park in the rain, Daisy & Dolly had a good roam & sniff, Mem & Zukes played ball. Memphis has hurt his paw again at Lilford running through the grass πŸ˜–. All home washed, dried, detangled & had first aid, they are ready to nap.

Early morning run, in the cool dew grass before a day of garden & pool play.

Its been quite a day. First we visited Alexandra Park in Oldham, the Park was stunning, gorgeous lake & Woodlands but too many families & picnics to let them off lead. We then headed over to Daisy Nook Country Park. Well, Parking a nightmare & had a choice of word outburst after waiting a good 15 mins twice for cars to pack up the prams & load the family in for a stupid car to drive in front of the reversing vehicle & nab the space... by 2nd happening in same car park, I'm ...Livid & about to blow my top 🀯. Finally Parked up & headed into Daisy Nook lower ground woods with lots of shade & coolness, with clear beautiful streams for the dogs to play, swim & roam. Even Memphis unintentionally went swimming & by the surprised look on his face, he loved it & went back for another doggy paddle 🀣. Back home, washed & in garden... oh & pool for Zukie, goes without saying.

User

A lovely walk with Amanda & Zukie, Memphis & Lucy... Pennington Pike in the Sunshine 😎

User

This morning the fur babies slept & reeneegised for an afternoon trip to Pennington to swim, paddle & play 😁

User

Early outing for field play before saying Byebye to Pippa. The others took a nap in garden before more fun & games of Tug & empty the flower pots & dig out the soil beds πŸ˜£πŸ˜³πŸ™„

User

Had a fun weekend with Peggy, just as Lucy thought her friend left as new friend Pippa arrived. Both played hard & fast as Whippets chasing each other at the field. Zukie enjoying trying to retrieve her tied up toy & Memphis looking ready to catch a nap.

Wow our boy tubs loved being with Susan and gabby. I would highly recommend bone sweet home to anybody. The love care and attention showed to tubs during his 2 week stay was fantastic.we are so delighted we found you thank you so much.

User

Without a doubt Sue is the only person other than family I'd trust to look after our two dogs for a period of time. She treats them as her own and cares for them just as much as we do. She spoils them rotten and they pull me down her drive all the time! I cannot recommend Bone Sweet Home - Lords of Dogtown enough, I never need to worry when our two dogs are here οΏ½

We where going to Thailand and had to find someone to look after our 7 month old dog Henry for 17 days. We tried him one night at kennels which he didn't settle at. Thank goodness I found Susan and her daughter. Henry spent a few nights getting used to staying before our holiday but it didn't take him long at all. Susan kept us constantly updated with videos and photos of what he was doing. He went on lots of trips out and always looked like he was having a ball! He is sleeping his holiday off now he is home. Henry will be a frequent visitor to Susan's in the future οΏ½

We were apprehensive about leaving Taylor with anyone other than family. However we were all on holiday together so we needed to find someone we could trust to care for Taylor. From the minute I contacted Susan, she put me at ease. Whilst we were away we had daily updates and some fantastic photos. It was so reassuring to know Taylor was having such fun on her holiday too. Taylor had loads of outings with the others dogs and learned to swim! Unfortunately Taylor was a little poorly and Susan contacted me straight away and then took Taylor to the vets and cared for her for which I'm very grateful. Taylor couldn't have been in better hands.

Taylor had a fun filled holiday and will no doubt be bored at home in comparison !

I have no hesitation in recommending Susan if you need someone you can trust to look after your family dog. Taylor will certainly be back to stay.

We left our Poppy on Friday afternoon for a sleepover with Susan and the daycare dogs and she never gave us a second glance!! We received regular updates and many fab photos of Poppy who looked like she loved being one of the pack and was having a wonderful time. Susan and her family are lovely friendly people and their dog Zukie kept Poppy in check. We are very happy & have no worries or concerns leaving Poppy with them for her holiday when we have ours. Thank you so much from Mel, Mike, Amber xx and Poppy

Was very nervous about leaving our boy with anyone other than family! We have had our dog since a baby and we are all he has known. But myself and my wife got married and naturally went on a honeymoon so had no choice but to find accommodation for our beautiful dog. When meeting Susan and her daughter Gabby I was instantly put at ease as they are lovely people with a lovely home. They really do love animals and treat your dog like part of the family. Susan provided me with updates every day on how he was doing along with pics which were great to see. Thank you so much to Susan and Gabby I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and to use them again.

User

Thanks to Sue and Gabby for making our baby Ralphis holiday so amazing. He has loved every minute of it. You've kept us updated everyday with pictures and videos and made us at ease on our holiday. Already booked him in for September. Amazing οΏ½

Susan and her family looked after our Lab Buddy for 3 nights recently. We can't thank her enough for all the love, attention and care he received from her. She sent daily updates and photos of how he was getting on and that really put our minds at rest as he was smiling in nearly every one of them! Susan is lovely, friendly and professional and we can safely say we wouldn't hesitate to use her again for doggy care. Thanks again for taking such good care of him, we can clearly see he has really enjoyed himself. Also thanks for his new ball :-) Sharon & Craig x

User

So impressed by the professionalism shown by Susan and her daughter..lots of love care and attention given to our cockerdor Ruby..not to mention great days out..look forward to booking her in again to get her more used to hanging out with more dogs before our holiday ..thankyou so much Xxx

I’m so reluctant to leave my little chihuahua anywhere as he’s so small and timid and can be abit of pest to other dogs. However it looked like Coco had a ball and loved playing with the other dogs, so much so he’s home and looks like he’s sulkin as he’s not with his friends anymore οΏ½ We went away last minute and Sue came to our rescue, such a welcoming lady. She keeps you up to date with everything that goes on and totally puts your mind at ease. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to leave their dog somewhere safe. Thanks again x

User

It's good to know that, when you have to leave your dog, they are in safe hands. Susan (and her daughter Gabby) are that, and more. Plenty of fun, plenty of socialising, lots of stimulating play, good walks tailored to your dogs needs, generally involving water! Susan is the easiest person to deal with, really helpful, very accommodating and obviously loves the dogs in her care. Whether its their first visit or they are regulars, Gabby's photos and videos are a brilliant way to reassure and entertain. Nice to see the names of so many dogs that our own Cocker (Zaba) enjoys playing with. Don't tell the others but I think Obi's his favourite!

User

I will highly recommend Susan and her daughter to all of my friends and family! What a fantastic time my little Nala has had! She put our mind at ease with updates and pictures everyday of her holiday to keep us up to date with everything! I will 100% use Susan again when we are next on our holiday as nothing is too much trouble! Thank you xxx

User

I send my best bud to Susan's house often and I couldn't praise her enough.. Susan is extremely accommodating even at short notice and will go out of her way to make sure your fury friend is looked after.

I feel so comfortable sending Willow to Susan's beautiful loving home and I don't have to worry about anything.. Willow loves the different walks Susan and Gaby take the dogs on and I get plenty of updates/ photos throughout the day. :-)

I can't thank you enough οΏ½οΏ½

100% recommended if anyone needs their animal cared for. xx

User

I can't recommend bone sweet home enough . My dog absolutely loves going and I feel at ease every time she is there . I wouldn't let Narla go anywhere else . Lovely people and a lovely home and I know Narla is looked after amazingly when she's there ! X

User

Couldn't recommend Susan and Gabby enough. After feeling really nervous about leaving our Junior for the first time with anyone other than family, after meeting Susan and seeing her lovely home I instantly felt at ease. I get regular updates, pictures and videos of Junior having the time of his life with the other dogs. Susan takes them on the best adventures and it's so lovely to see he's having such a good time. Each time we bring him he doesn't even notice when we are gone. Amazing service, generally cares so much about the dogs and also sticks to our routines and dietary requirements.

User

Couldn't recommend Susan and Gabby enough! Was very anxious about leaving my Frenchie Memphis but with travelling a lot I needed to find a perfect home from home and that's exactly what you get with Susan. I was made to feel really welcome with my puppy when we arrived and I could see straight away how loving Susan and Gabby are. My mind was at rest with the daily pictures and messages of him enjoying all the fun days out and my children love to see he is happy. Susan only holds 6 dogs at a time which I love as I know Memphis gets a lot of love and attention and a personal experience. Memphis regularly stays with Susan now and he absolutely loves it! If your thinking about leaving ur pooch then look no further. Genuine lovely family. xx

User

Bear just spent 9 days with Sue and family while we was on holiday, He loved it daily photos and updates with what he has been upto that day absolute 10 star service and the only person i would leave him with, Treats him like one of her own and gives you peace of mind knowing he is being well looked after. Bear will be back and thanks again .

User

Albert was certainly treated like a prince, if not a lord of Dogtown. Susan And Gabbi, thank you so much for giving Albert such love and attention. We loved the videos and photos of Albert on his adventures with Zukie, Junior and Angus. So reassuring to know that even though Albert was so young and small every consideration was given to ensure that he too could access all the fun ..... even if it was from the warmth of the picnic basket. Thank you so much Susan.

User

After Susan came highly recommend by a friend who's dog stays, I loved the idea of having somewhere that's like a real home from home for my two pugs. I had never left my pugs with anyone other than family before and they are like my children. At first we had a meet and greet so Susan could judge the temperament of the dogs and see how they were in her home. I went ahead and booked a 2 night stay. When I dropped them off I could see other dogs happily playing but couldn't help feeling guilty leaving them.. I even got a little upset! Susan kept me updated through watsapp all weekend, sending me videos and photos of them everyday and they settled in brilliantly! They have been on long walks everyday and played fantastically with other dogs. I couldn't recommend this place more if you are needing someone to look after your dogs, they will certainly be looked after here. Thankyou so much for taking care of mine xx
