"A," the ex marine, and the elderly lady who also sits there are both extremely decent folk, but beware those who are not serious bookers. Always found them to be most helpful and knowledgable. Love going in to browse.
A treasure chest! 2-3 floors jam packed with books of all kinds. A nice mix of newer books and very cool old titles/editions. The kind of place you can get lost in! Run by a friendly gentlemen who is a retired Royal Marine. Definitely recommend stopping in!
Was very impressed with the selection of books here. A real aladdins cave of a place. The gentleman who served me was very helpful and down to earth, and was happy to answer the questions I had to ask the also have a form you can fill out and they'll get in touch with you if they get something your looking for. Would happily spend my money there over some of the other places in Plymouth
Brilliant, friendly shop
Although slightly overpriced I felt the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the shop had a friendly feel to it.
I am a serious book collector and have bought happily from the book trade for over 30 years. This is the first negative review I have written on any trader.
Recently I visited this bookshop and found the bookseller to be rude and unprofessional. I am very sorry to write a negative review on any business, and would not have done so if the experience did not warrant it.
Independent book shops are a valuable resource and the standard of service is normally very good. I hope that whatever is causing problems for this business can be resolved and the service level restored to normal.
