Bookmark Reading Charity

More than one in four children leave primary school unable to read well. These children often struggle in school and beyond. Because reading isn't just about books. It's about reading a road sign, a job application form, or crucial health information. You could work with us to help children develop the reading skills and confidence they need for a fair chance in life. To become confident adults. To build a better future. Bookmark is a young charity with a fresh approach. Our innovative, cost-effective digital platform matches schools with safeguarded, vetted and trained reading volunteers. During each programme, a volunteer has one-to-one sessions twice a week, for six-weeks with a child who needs extra help with their reading. Sessions take place in school, either face to face or online through our secure, interactive platform. ​​For the children who need us, we're changing their story.
