Booths

Great selection of quality good in pleasant surroundings. Not quite the Low prices of the big chains but there are deals and the quality local produce makes up for the prices.

Booths is my favourite supermarket. It's nice and calm in there and the products they stock are more upmarket than say Morrison's or Sainsbury's. They have an excellent selection of beers and more flavours of San Pellegrino than I knew existed. They also stock a nice selection of local products. If a town had a Booths I would always shop there rather than any of the alternatives.

Cafe only..., waited over 30 mins for a terrible meal. Gravy was brown salty jelly, Vegs seemed frozen and way over cooked, I got strange tasting mash instead of chips but the pie was quite nice. All in all, I am afraid to say, one of the worst lunches I have had. Very disappointing given the quality of food in the supermarket. Poorly organised inefficient service also.

Great store, lots of different produce, friendly staff. Meat counter is really good and had lots of non cows milk cheeses. Some reasonable prices too as well as high quality

Great store, filled with good quality foods. The upstairs cafe is also good. A little lacking in personality, looks like they are trying too hard and underachieving. Prices are higher than average even for an upmarket shop and I felt it just didn't quite work.

Great shop for more range of local produce, great quality and some good offers

The best beer isle of all supermarkets. Hands down.

Similar to Waitrose, but with more local products and since it's only in the north west of England, you don't have all the corporate stuff.

Recommended if you want to try something new which maybe you can't buy in the bigger supermarkets (and they sell Kendal Mint Cake).

Best supermarket by far (inc others in this small chain)

Not the cheapest but their produce is worth every penny and the cafe is always on form
