#facepalm

red mullet dish,,,with smoked cauliflower puree and chantelle mushrooms was lovely,,,,great service as well
With the exception of a bit of water spilt on the table, and maybe the slightest bit of unnessesary upselling, I don't think I'd change anything about this restaurant.
Wonderful, relaxed bar to have a pre-meal drink in. Dimly lit - ample enough to see by, but subtle enough to set a great atmosphere.
Attentive, and very professional waiting staff, skilled chefs by the taste of things..
Couldn't have been happier really. Worth every penny - thanks
We love Boqueria, discovered the restaurant a couple of years ago. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. There is always a good selection of wine and they have various specials etc which keep us going back all the time. Our favourite local restaurant and we recommend it to everyone.
We have a great meal here today. Very up to date spanish food and super high quality. Don't tell my mum, but those croquetas are out of this world .
The food is amazing, delicious.. the service excellent. Worm and welcome place.
Stunning food, lovely staff, no rush, cocktails good and great value. Went with my wife and daughter purely on the reviews I had read, was not disappointed travelled up from Kent but was worth it. Recommend it to everyone
Love Boqueria. so nice place and the guys and girls who work there! Great food but especially great service . I am Spanish and is one of my favourite Spanish places in London. Un abrazo para todos mis amigos guapos de Boqueia
Highly recommend! Great food, staff amazing and the atmosphere is magic! Definitely we will come back!
Had an awesome meal at the Battersea restaurant on Saturday night. Fabulous food - pork dishes and croquetas to die for. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!
Good service, good food, the wine was excellent.
Don't look at prices but the quality of food. I do recommend and I'm planning to go back there again.
Felt like at home, with both fantastic food and service - This is the Best Catalan restaurant in London ;) in a trendy neighbourhood like Brixton, worth every penny and time well spent!
Been here twice & the food is lovely, staff ar very friendly & helpful & the price isn't that bad x
Amazing food, friendly staff, good prices. Well worth visiting! Been twice and many more to come!
Was very nice food and the staff were very friendly. Not as expensive as we were expecting. Only issue: the lighting was quite dark.
I absolutely loved the food. Really, really good. I did struggle with the order the food came out in. We ordered many of the dishes to go with other bits and it just doesn't work like that dies it, which is a shame. We thought we had had everything and ordered 2 more of the specials and they turned up with the last of our dishes that we had forgotten about. Then right at the end we got our tomatoe carpaccio dish but we had nothing left to eat with it so they didn't get eaten. I'll have to think how to get round that to make a return visit possible.
Dear Management,
We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with your restaurant on acre lane since it first opened many moons ago.
Back then we were carefree 20somethings spending our disposable income on your gorgeous croquetas, signature pork and those moreish cod fritters all accompanied by some delicious red wine - as is necessary when enjoying tapas.
You can imagine our dismay therefore when last night we turned up, as a group with pregnant lady in tow who had brought some (non delicious) alcohol free wine so that pregnant lady could pretend to be partaking in the experience...(I don't know if you have ever tried alcohol free wine. It is not particularly pleasant. It generally tastes like cheap grape juice or a knock off Schloer. Pretty awful. But it does allow those who are embarking on 9 months of pregnancy a glimmer of the life they are previously familiar with. Particularly for those who do not drink beer)...to be advised that £16 corkage would be necessary if pregnant lady wanted to drink the non alcoholic wine.
Waiter was very lovely and professional and double checked with the manager who confirmed the position.
I'm sure you have your reasons and corkage is absolutely fair enough for those who BTO but it's not very nice for the pregnant lady who only wanted a glass to join in with the rest of the group.
I do hope you change this policy, in the name of happy procreation.
Yours x
Amazing food, but let down by poor service. we were in the basement which has very low ceilings so makes it unbearably noisy.
food was ok, but breaded tomato with olive oil was soggy, meatballs was not cooked through and warm outside and cold inside.. ink squid black rice with prawn and mussel was delicious, grilled prawns was also good. A little hit and miss in some ares but service was good and so was the triple choc tart ;)
We celebrated my friend's birthday at the Acre Lane Boqueria, we were five people and ordered lots of food and wine. The food was delicious. However, what really stuck to our minds was when we asked for an extra slice of bread as the order of "bread with aioli" which came with four slices of bread (and we were five) - the waiter came back and told us we cannot get an extra slice of bread but we can order another portion of the dish if we'd like. We couldn't believe what we heard! It should be a no-brainer to offer an extra slice of bread to a group of people that spent close to £200 at the restaurant. Perhaps time to reconsider the way you operate and how much common sense you allow your waiters (who were lovely) to use.
