Borde Associates advise and take an active role with companies in the food and drink and similar industries. This role is typically centred on the longer-term strategic direction, but frequently develops into supporting and implementing shorter term objectives. We draw on a strong repertoire of commercial skills, with the experience to source other specialist expertise as needed. Our experience and network is international. Often the role is to find a buyer, or seller, a partner, or an investor; this may require extensive discreet enquiries to ascertain the opportunities. We are particularly well positioned to do this, drawing on many years of financial expertise and investment banking experience. An important underlying principle is to nurture empathy about how the company, its people and its brands can develop long term affinity with its market, and be more significant than just a source of products. This approach creates significant long-term value. Just now, at the end of 2020, we are seeing the benefits of raising £0. 25 million investment which helped a leading fine food producer avoid being reliant on the hospitality sector just it was devastated by the effects of Covid.
