As we announced last year, the Government launched an online platform upon which people can apply for divorce and since that the time, the figures have been staggering! In total, 23,000 applications have been made online, including 455 applications between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day, with 13 being submitted on Christmas Day itself.
Justice minister Lucy Frazer said: β€˜These online services are already making a difference to people who use the justice system. As we reach... this milestone it’s encouraging to see people are reporting these services work well for them and are a better fit around their busy lives.’
As ever, technology is advancing at a rapid rate and although applications to Court have become more accessible to the public, legal advice and guidance can ensure that forms are completed correctly to avoid future issues and delays. It is always our strong recommendation that if you are looking to apply for divorce, you seek professional legal advice from qualified lawyers. Bose Legal would be happy to assist you or point you in the right direction - it could make all the difference in how your case progresses; saving you time, stress and expense πŸ’›
Feel free to contact us if you would like us to assist you on info@boselegal.co.uk πŸ’›

Many people worry about what will happen, financially, if they were to divorce their wife/husband. We've created a guidance note providing an overview of the various options and the criteria the court consider when there is a financial dispute between married couples. Please feel free to click on the link below to have a read - we hope it helps! πŸ’›

New research seen by BuzzFeed News shows that the number of people family lawyers are having to turn away because they can’t afford to pay and do not qualify for legal aid has increased fourfold since 2014. Then, lawyers reported turning away an average of 25–45 people each year, but by 2018 this had reached an average of 100–200 people they could not take on.
This is the very reason that Bose Legal exists - to assist those who are unable to afford a solicitor but are in need of direction and guidance during their case. We are so pleased to have helped numerous clients so far and look forward to assisting as many people as possible in the future too πŸ’›

Wedding season is over, Autumn has begun and there may be some couples wondering whether they should have organised a Pre-Nuptial Agreement before their wedding. If that's the case, or if you are a married couple and have been married for some time and you're now having regrets about not having a Pre-Nup in place, please don't panic! You can still put in place a Post-Nuptial agreement to help protect your financial positions. Please feel free to check out our guide below for more details - we hope it will assist you πŸ’›

It's wedding season which for most means a load of fun times ahead but what about the bride and groom? As well as the excitement to get married there's the headache of planning their special day & sometimes they need to consider their financial positions to each other too in the event of a breakdown.
Although it's hardly romantic, sometimes these things do need to be addressed to save stress IF things were to go wrong. Pre-Nuptial Agreements are now becoming increasingly common these days but what exactly are they? Feel free to check out our general guide to Pre-Nuptial Agreements on the link below - we hope it will be of some help πŸ’›

Trust is a big concept that affects many of us in all aspects of our day to day lives.
We have found, especially recently, that many of our clients decide to seek advice from us because they have lost trust in their legal representative and/or they're seeking the personalised service we offer reducing unnecessary stress, time and expense, during their difficult time.
We value each and every one of our clients and their trust & they value ours. If you are in doubt about your... own case, please feel free to contact us for a confidential chat - we can be your guiding light and would be more than happy to assist πŸ’›

Happy Weekend to you all!
Earlier this week, the Ministry of Justice launched a nationwide online divorce service which will enable people to deal with their divorce process in a speed-effective, and paperless manner.
This process currently applies to uncontested (undefended) divorces and for people acting in person only, without a solicitor instructed. This is a huge step forward in terms of assisting those who are unable to afford a solicitor acting for them however some e...xpert guidance on the process is still expected to be required on the procedure to avoid making mistakes and delaying the overall process.
If you are going down the online divorce route, please feel free to contact us for some advice whether it's just the one-off conversation you need, or more. We are always happy to help you. The link to start a divorce online is - https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-divorce

We never set out marrying someone to later realise that it was not meant to be. With all the best intentions, sometimes divorce is a real possibility and at times, it can feel quite daunting; especially if we have no idea of what the process is.
If you find yourself considering divorce, please feel free to read our guidance link below on divorce and the points you should be made aware of πŸ’›

We are frequently contacted by people who are stuck on how to move forward from their recent relationship separation. The majority believe they have a frightening and expensive journey ahead battling out issues concerning their children and financial matters in court. This doesn't need to be the case because Family Mediation is more often than not, the ideal forum in which you and your ex-partner can resolve any outstanding issues with the assistance of an independent and im...partial Family Mediator.
Please feel free to read our guidance note in the link below.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us πŸ’›

Sometimes, in theory, a breakup of any type of relationship seems like the right thing to do but the reality can be very different.
We always ensure our clients are certain of their decision to end their relationship and frequently suggest a period of separation (where appropriate) before committing to a permanent end to a relationship. In the past, we have found that many clients end up reconciling and others, decide that it is the end however are content to have at least t...ried before making hasty decisions to end their relationship.
Next week, we will be issuing a guidance note on Family Mediation and the advantages of following this course of action when considering a permanent separation πŸ’›
