Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa

Lovely amazing looking hotel. Good location close to the town, but very quiet area. The inside decor was very dated, the paint work was fresh but very messy (pain on the carpet etc.). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Spa area was basic and could do with some modernisation. But it was lovely to have this included in our stay.

Booked a last minute overnight stay for my husband and I, read some reviews and did wonder what we would find when we got there. We had a lovely overnight stay, my husband wished we could have stayed longer, yes decoration is a bit tired specially in corridors but it was clean. Our room, a double executive was a bit of a mismatch of furniture but again it was clean and the bed was really comfortable. My husband is quite fussy when it comes to food but he enjoyed his carvery dinner and buffet breakfast very much. We also visited the spa and pool which again were looking a little tired but the pool was a good size and more importantly the water was lovely and warm. We are trying to arrange another stay and are hoping to book a suite.

Friendly staff...below average food....tired interior but our room was very clean.
We spent two nights here through Groupon. Reading the reviews before we went, we asked for a room with a window and got one no problem. Only when they are busy so they have the use of three rooms without windows. The interior is tired and well worn but our room was pleasant and clean.

The buffet is slices of meat and self serve potatoes and vegetables. Hospital food was nicer. The breakfast was a little better. Why do Britannia hotels give guests such awful food? We would come back of the food was good.

OK to get away but not much of spa options in comparison to other spa places however the staff were excellent..Genuinely happy to help. I must say the Reception staff are however those who made the stay most welcome who helped to sort out a problem in the room ..arranged a prompt move to another room. most importantly they did this without having to speak to supervisor and made the decision themselves saving time and effort. Very professional and smart.

There are live events in the evening if you have nothing to do and the buffet food is not bad at all.

I however do think the hotel group or chain who own Bosworth hall seriously need to maintain the building and renovate the place otherwise if it is very close to falling out of favour or continued reduction in bookings which would be a shame when the location, the people and the place make it great out of town get away or a peaceful few days away from out busy every day lives.

Perfectly acceptable base. A little overrun with bus parties of more mature years. Bedroom facilities fine although mattresses hard for my liking. Dining limited choice, 2/3 mains, in carvery but food hot and quickly turned over, breakfast 'English' but again fresh and hot with cereals, toast and fruit. Bar has limited seating but well stocked and sensible prices. Reception helpful when needed. JEWEL - Leisure facilities, pool great and better than average gym. Worth a repeat stay if visiting area again.

I'm writing this from my hotel room. Can't believe I accidentally booked another Britannia hotel. They are absolutely atrocious! This particular one is very dated!

Feels like walking in to Fawlty Towers but without the comedy. I'm not exagerating by saying there's more dust on the curtains in this room than inside my vacuum cleaner at home. If I could upload a pic you would be amazed.

I'd be comfier sleeping on the pea shingle outside rather than this probably 40 year old mattress.

The fire alarm just went off for no apparent reason, the pools closed for 2 weeks for 'immediate emergency work'. Tried asking staff simple question but they just ignored me.

This hotel is pretty much the opposite of what you would want to stay in. If I had packed my tent, I would sleeping in that tonight.

A tired, tired place in desperate need of a total refurbishment - such potential wasted! The bathroom was dirty, as were the carpets. I didn't bother with dinner as the only option was carvery and it looked dire. The tables at breakfast were sticky, the cutlery was dirty and the food was cold. The staff were generally somewhere between disinterested and unhelpful. I get the feeling that the whole place is getting by on the host of coach trips for the retired who were all sat dutifully watching a terrible stage act after their awful carvery! I have made three calls to the hotel to get a copy of my invoice emailed to me for my expenses and still not received it; now when I try to call (charged at 13p per minute) I get no answer. I work in that area regularly and was really hoping for a place with character that I could stay at a couple of times per month - looks like back to Premier Inn. All in all, like Faulty Towers but without the charm.

We had a spa day with afternoon tea here and the treatments and afternoon tea was lovely. The staff are lovely. Was nice to sit around the pool and use the jacuzzi steam room and sauna. Me and my friends had a lovely day here. I would give the whole day 5 stars but I have only gave it three stars because I reckon if the place had a revamp and was more up to date and clean it would make the spa day a whole lot better.

A large historic fancy building, looks very inviting and expensive, but rooms were relatively cheap at £79 double with breakfast. However, room was tired, too hot and couldn't turn off radiator. Bathroom needed some repainting and the rusty parts replaced. Bed was hard but comfortable, wardrobe door broken. Breakfast was basic but edible.

5min walk to village using path through car park and some great places to eat in village which seem more appetising than the hotel.

I would only go back there if no where else available in the area.
