Bothal Primary School

We have 2 last minute places on our fantastic healthy cooking workshop starting tomorrow (wed 26th). The workshop now runs for 6 sessions (rather than a one off) in order for families to have a better experience. It is strictly 1 adult to 1 pupil and the sessions will involve cooking a meal that feeds approximately 4 people. It is free of charge and all that is required is for a tub to take the food home in. The sessions run from 3.30pm to approx 5pm on the Upper Site. If you are interested then please contact the Upper Site office for more information or to sign up. Families who have been before are welcome to attend again. Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Don't forget that if you want to be in with a chance of being on our healthy cooking workshop then reply slips need to be back in tomorrow morning. If you have misplaced the letter then just pop into the Upper Site office to sign up/ for more information.

Some of our Key Stage 2 children have taken part in a live Skype interview with current NASA astronaut Sunita Williams. Sunita is a veteran of two space missions.
The children were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch a live presentation from Sunita and then take part in an interview session.
... Lara in Year 6 asked former engineer Sunita for any tips for girls who want a career in the STEM sector. Sunita advised Lara to take inspiration wherever she finds it and to believe that she can achieve her goals! 👨‍🚀🛰️🚀🌝

The flu immunisation letter is coming home tonight - please return this to the school office by 10am on Wednesday 19th September to enable your child to be immunised.

Data information booklet - please note that the sv5 part of the pack MUST be returned tomorrow. Pupils who do not return it will unfortunately not be allowed to attend swimming this week and will remain in school.

Upper Site After School P.E. Clubs 18/19 - Autumn Term ⚽🏀
Choose which clubs you would like your son/ daughter to attend from the available options by filling in the form below.
Please note that clubs have a limit as to how many attendees there can be. Pupils will only be told if they are unsuccessful at obtaining a place. If pupils do not receive a letter stating this then they have been successful.

Wow..... just wow!!

Year 2 PE - just a reminder to parents that year 2 are to be collected from the Lower Site today.
Next week (20th sept) they will need to be collected from the Upper Site at 3.30pm.

Then why not come along to Ashington Hirst Running Club based at our upper site. The running club is super friendly and caters for all abilities of runner (they sometimes even have cake available!). Well done to Laura Shaw, who is one of our parents, for winning Athlete of the Month for August.
