We were married here on Sunday 31st July and had the most unbelievable day of our lives! The staff were absolutely fabulous and could not have done more for us. The day went without a glitch and everybody loved the food and wine. Thank you to everybody at Botleys who made our day so special, we are still on cloud 9 xxxxx

We got married on August 23rd 2018. What a day! We loved every minute we spend in this beautiful venue. The service was fabulous and so many of our guests commented on it. The staff were so discreet, things just happened by magic!!

The planning was made easy by having our online planner and someone to respond to all of our messages swiftly. We enjoyed the planning meetings because they were an excuse to see the place again! Between these, our tasting (so fun) and dropping in with the in-laws, the house felt like a second home by the time the big day came! The food was amazing, I am fussy and many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had.

Yes, as some people have said you do pay for it and everything extra costs, but this is a business so expect it. You are paying for 5 star quality and service and you get it! Thank you Botleys staff.

We got married at Botleys Mansion on Saturday 30th July and had the most perfect day. All of our guests have said how amazing the venue, food, staff and grounds were!

From day one of planning we had constant support and advice and the level of service was outstanding. At times the planning was extremely stressful but our wedding planner Carol did an amazing job at keeping me calm!

A huge and extra special thanks to Guy and Sarah who were with us on the day- you made every moment perfect, and run so smoothly. You did an amazing job and we will always be so grateful to each of you! Xx

This is a marvellous venue. The setting is amazing and the staff bend over backwards to provide a first class service. The food is superb and when I was at a wedding there a few days ago all of the guests were having a wonderful time. One of the best wedding venues in Southern England - highly recommended!

This is a great wedding venue. I have worked as a supplying Toastmaster brought in by couples to assist on the day. The team have great attention to detail and are really experienced at providing good service in fantastic surroundings. I am just the icing on their there fantastic cake! The most beautiful venue . My daughter had her wedding here last week and it was a day that was perfect from start to finish. All the staff at Botleys are attentive, friendly and ensure everything is in place , which is so reassuring . Food was incredible and even though it rained it didn’t matter in such a light pretty place . I can’t speak highly enough about the venue .

Thank you so much to Botleys and their amazing staff who made our day so perfect! The planning process was made really easy by Aly our wedding manager, who responded to our questions so promptly and helped us stay organised! The online planning tool was so helpful too. Our day went smoothly and everything was on time and as we wanted. The staff on the day helped us stick with the order of the day without feeling like we were being rushed. The only thing we weren't completely happy with was the prices for the bedrooms (around £250 each) as we thought they were very expensive but it didn't ruin anything. The venue is just stunning and we couldn't have wished for more!

Our daughter was married at Botleys Mansion on Sunday (25th Sept) and many of us stayed over till the next day. We were all extremely impressed with the venue. It was totally prepared in every way for making my daughters wedding a memorable day. I cannot speak too highly of the professionalism of the staff (especially Sarah, who was unfailingly kind, supportive, efficient and made everything run incredibly smoothly), from the highly trained serving staff to the caller and everyone. I have to also thank Phoebe and her colleague for being so helpful in providing tea/coffee for everyone beforehand, with a happy smile. The venue itself was perfect, with its beautiful staircase, fabulous conservatory and all the extra rooms. The food was completely delicious - everyone agreed it was the best wedding food we had ever eaten, the canapés were divine (especially the crispy chicken pieces), the wedding meal was superb, and the evening buffet was perfect. The dance floor was amazing, with its sparkling lights, and we all danced the night away to the music of the amazing band. The bedrooms (12) are enormous with fantastic bathrooms/wet rooms, the only slight fault we could find was there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, and, as breakfast wasn't till after 9am we were all gasping (although they did provide bottled water in the room). The breakfast was adequate. Once again, I highly recommend Botleys Mansion, it really is the perfect venue for a wedding reception.

My husband and I got married at Botleys Mansion on September 25th 2016. We fell in love with the venue when we went to visit six months before hand, and it definitely didn't fail to live up to our expectations. From the word go and throughout the entire process, the team were there to help and assist with anything and everything. On the day, the staff continued to provide amazing service. We had the most perfect day and would encourage anyone who is thinking about getting married here to go for it!

My first visit to Botleys as Toastmaster, I couldn’t fault staff or venue. Timings were to perfection, nothing seemed to much for the staff and was delivered with a smile. Fantastic venue for a Wedding. Made my day flow without any hiccups, thank you.

Amazing day yesterday for the amazing Mr & Mrs Godfrey wedding day. Stunning venue and excellent staff to help with the smooth running of the day. Excellent choice �

Beautiful venue but i wouldn't recommend and wish I had of choose a different venue. All about money and getting any extra they can. On the day several mistakes were made which you don't expect after paying 28k for the venue. They don't have the correct table cloths for their round tables so we spent 200 hiring correct ones. Our wedding organiser we met once and she never turned up for a meeting we arranged. My point being that it would make it more personal if you saw the person that is allocated to you the whole way through as they aren't the ones there on the day either. a mistake on the chairs we wanted which cost us a lot of time on the day, bearing in mind suppliers can only enter at 11am which doesnt give the suppliers a lot of time to set up at all.. The manager is so unfriendly and abrupt and generally difficult to work with. When booking the venue we were told we could hire in beer kegs at a corkage charge of 3pound per pint sold as they only sell bottle beer but nearer to the wedding we were told they can only be poly pins which is Ale and our guests don't drink ale. this review would be too long to go into details on extra money they wanted for everything. I had mini bottles of prosecco as my wedding favours but was told I would have to pay £5 pp plus vat for doing so. I refused to pay that so they suggested I handed them out on a table at the end of the night for our guests to take home. But Only half of the bottles were put out and the sign I had made instructing people to take a bottle was also forgotten. The food was amazing at the tasting but was not as good on the day. The morning after a rude, stern looking lady was watching over us the whole time making remarks of how long we had left to leave the Venue which is 11ocock and told me at 10.55 whilst loading the last few flowers I had to be gone. Emma, Guy and our manager on the day couldn't do enough for us and are fantastic to work with, they are a credit to the venue.

Venue is amazing - easy to see why people want to be married there. The building is gorgeous, grounds are stunning and vast. However for such an expensive place you would expect a high level of service. None. Very rude staff across the board. Lazy service for meals and asking for anything seemed a real chore. Even just extra butter appeared to be on par with a Everest climb. No personal touch - shoddy service - and to me if you’re paying top money you expect decent service. I won’t go again nor recommend. Which is a shame as the building and grounds are beautiful.

Unfortunately what initially seemed like an idealic venue turned out to be a nightmare experience - I hate to provide negative feedback, but the wedding of two close friends was ruined by their experience with the management team.

The venue and freelance staff on the day were amazing but the company made the planning and lead up to the big day a really unenjoyable experience. I hope they can consider a new approach to their customers and remember that weddings should be a pleasure not a just a lucrative business arrangement.

Beautiful, well equipped venue but our experience overall was NOT a positive one.



Initial impressions were amazing. It appeared as though the staff could not do enough for you. Once the deposit was paid, our experience changed dramatically.



Our wedding planner was efficient and sympathetic but we found the management staff to be inflexible, rude and unaccommodating.



When our relationship with the management staff got really bad and we asked to meet them to resolve the issues, they refused.



If I had the opportunity to plan my wedding again, I would simply would not use this venue.
