We were greeted by a lovely lady, who we found out later was called Lucia. We were escorted to a lovely table next to the window, which was good for us as it was really hot in there, so we opened the window to let a breeze in. We were talked through the menu and we ordered our chosen teas. A glass of prosecco each was poured for us and it wasn't long before our sandwiches and cakes arrived. There was a choice of 4 different fillings for the sandwiches, bagels and rye bread. Two scones each 1 plain and 1 with currants, with a pot of cream and jam, a piece of carrot cake and chocolate cake and two baby macaroons. Lucia kindly changed the jam from strawberry to raspberry as I have an allergy to strawberries. The free flowing prosecco was just that, flowing for 90 minutes and not once did we have to ask the waitress to top up our glass. 🍾🍾 Staff very friendly and professional. Restaurant very clean although toilet cubicles are very small. On the whole a very relaxing and chilled out afternoon tea. Asked would I recommend it, I certainly would, you might even get Lucky and have Lucia serve you. 🍰🍾
We went to the Boulevard Brasserie for a pre theatre lunch, and I must say that although the menu is quite limited, the quality of food and service couldn't be faulted. If ever I'm in the area again, I will definitely be going back.
We had the theatre menu which consisted of duck parfait followed by pork chop in a lentil and small onion casserole with dauphinois potatoes, the sweet a lovely crepe brûlée. All 3 courses were delicious. Very attentive staff all in all a lovely meal before a theatre matinee . Will definitely be returning .
We ate there prior to visiting the theatre. Had 2 course menu with a kir royal included for £20. The service was fantastic and the bistro was lit just right to create a lovely ambience. I would certainly go there again and highly recommend the restaurant.
Took my wife to the Boulevard Brasserie for Afternoon Tea whilst in London for her 40th Birthday. It was perfect!
Despite being 30 minutes early, we were seated immediately in the wonderful surroundings, our brilliantly attentive and charming waiter welcomed us while pouring our first glasses of bottomless Prosecco!
The food arrived promptly and was nothing short of devine. Brilliantly combined flavours with a light fresh feel to the ingredient. Sadly, we didn't manage to finish the last scone, despite our best efforts... we were more than full!
Can not rate this experience highly enough. Brilliant service, wonderful food, fantastic surroundings.... the whole experience from start to finish was something very special.
Thank you to all, if I could rate it 6 stars, I wouldn't hesitate.
Took my friend for his birthday dinner before theatre. Great food, brilliant setting, service was amazing. They even brought us a creme brûlée with a candle for dessert. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend the goats cheese starter and mussels main. House white wine is very good too.
This was my third time and it was exceptional as always. They are really good at catering for gluten free even though they didn't have any gluten free bread they made sure I had plenty of options. Our waiter was amazing! Delicious.
Really enjoyed our meal last night, we were greeted and shown to our table and looked after by a lovely young waitress who was exceptionally good. Meal was excellent and all the food was nice and hot. A very nice gesture of bringing us a glass of prosseco each as it was our anniversary. We will be back.
My wife and I had lunch before going to see The Play That Goes Wrong through Red Letter Day package. The meal was very nice. My wife had pork chop which although tasty was rather tough my trout was lovely. The staff were excellent.
Lovely restaurant .
Taken to our table I’d booked on line. We had booked a deal of 3 courses and a Kia Royal all for £25 per head. Good choice of food & all very good. Our waiters were very attentive & pleasant. Nice atmosphere too.
Would definitely recommend
Lovely meal before the theatre. The duck breast was beautiful. We were served promptly and as I had pre booked I had 50% discount so it was excellent value. The ambience was great and it’s really close to the theatre Royal.
Lovely French inspired decor. Staff friendly and efficient. The food choice was varied and when it came was presented well and was delicious. I had a beetroot and Roquefort starter and sea bass as main. Nothing was too much trouble. I look forward to my next visit!
Had a meal here as part of a theatre package. Despite this we were made to feel very welcome. Excellent service. Really great food. Lovely staff. Definitely recommended.
Had a Lovely Afternoon Cream Tea. Scones tasty. Smoke Salmon Mini Bagel & sandwich bonus. Lovely Passion Fruit mouse with Meringue. Very unexpected. Great Choice of Flavoured Tea on Menu. But lovely bonus being offered choice of Coffees too.
Staff very friendly & attentive but not over powering. Lovely atmosphere. No rushing. Thankyou
Absolutely fabulous meal, came here October last year and tried the French onion soup for starter and the modules for main, my daughter had the beef bourguignon it was beautiful, since then been to other restaurants near home and nothing like it, just returned and the service is very welcoming, sat upstairs the window view and again the food was amazing
