Boulton Lane Baptist Church

Boulton Lane Baptist Church is located in Alvaston, Derby. We are a loving family, eager to serve and ready to welcome all who get in touch.

We are serving the community in many ways including Computer Help, Knitting Club, Over 50s Discovery award, Money Budgeting, Food Bank, Girls Brigade, Film Club, Alpha course, Happy Hen eggs, regular events and supporting groups that use our space.

We also worship on Sunday mornings and have regular prayer meetings and study groups.

Rev Mike Lowe is our full-time Minister and has been with us since 2007. He is the joint chair of the local Churches Together group (ACT) and is the Baptist Chaplain at Derby University. Prior to ministry Mike trained as an artist and illustrator. He then worked as a professional visual communicator for ten years designing and producing for screen and print. He enjoys the continued use of those skills in his ministry and has finally returned to his painting. He is married to Lisa and has two boys, Josh and Oli.
