Boulton’s Dairy is a traditional, family run business which has been established for over fifty years. We deliver fresh milk and dairy products along with quality groceries in most of the Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle and Biddulph areas.
Boulton'S Dairy Description
We serve over five thousand doorstep, retail and wholesale customers. Our new online home shopping service allows you the freedom to order and manage your account online.
Our products include all milk and other dairy produce. The excellent Robert’s bread range, eggs, groceries and now we have included a wide variety of branded products from home essentials to garden and pet food, offering a free delivery service.
We have a fantastic team at Boultons Dairy who share my passion for this business. Most of my team have been with me for many years delivering milk in all weathers without them I could not hope to give you the service you deserve. We are all looking forward to the future and we hope that you will benefit in the exciting times that lie ahead.

Roy retires after 50 years of delivering milk
Roy finally retired one day after his 65th birthday on Saturday 14 June after delivering milk for 50 years.
Born in Chell Heath Roy began work at the Co-op Dairy in Sneyd Green at the age of 15 where he worked for around 12 years before going to work for Chell Green Dairies before finally moving to Boultons Dairy in May 1984.
... Roy then delivered milk in and around the Chell Heath area for these last 30 years. Roy said he was determined to reach the 50 year milestone. He said “I have wonderful memories and I’ve enjoyed the people who I’ve delivered to. They’ve all been fantastic to me over the years.
Roy said that he has been inundated with retirement cards and gifts from his thankful customers. He said “The people I have delivered to feel like my family and I’ve loved the job, I’m a little sad that I’m leaving but after 50 years I think I deserve a rest! I feel happy and proud that in all weathers I’ve got milk to the people I serve”
Roy added that his post retirement plans will keep him mentally and physically active. He said “I like gardening, woodwork and making things so there should be enough to keep me occupied. I shan’t be sitting down on my backside that’s for sure.”
A word from the Management
We really tried to persuade Roy to stay on but we obviously wouldn’t stand in his way. He’s truly been fantastic. He’s never let us down; we never had to worry about Roy he’s been around for so long that we just let him get on with it. We’ve had an amazing amount of calls from his customers wishing him well.
We have presented Roy with a watch to thank him for all of his hard work and service. We will all miss him.
