Hello BAC, I know some of our families will know already but for those that don’t. One of amazing Mummy’s Lindsey 's cancer has sadly returned. It's a particular kick in the teeth this time after getting the diagnosis just 7 months after getting the all clear from the cancer she had last year. Last year Lindsey went to America to have Proton Beam therapy. Since being back from America, Lindsey has been getting on with her life, has been back to work but has been in a lot of... pain day to day with her pelvis and legs. Shes also been getting migraines and pressure in her head. After being in and out of hospital a few times, she was admitted to Christie's again on 5th April so she could be given steroids to relieve the pressure in her head. They also gave her the devastating news that her cancer had returned and is now in her spinal fluid. Proton beam therapy cant be used to treat this as proton beam is exact, obviously it's a bit difficult to target cancer cells that are roaming about freely. On Monday 8th April, one of Lindsey's consultants told her that there is no treatment that can be offered, she was to go home and make as many memories as possible. However... later that day another consultant came to see her and said she can try chemotherapy. Chemo for this type of cancer is difficult to get to work as it's hard to break through to the spinal fluid, but it's worth a shot. Lindsey started the treatment last week. Since getting the diagnosis, Lindsey has changed her diet and started to look at alternative treatments. She found a clinic in cambridge that offers something called immunotherapy and they have had groundbreaking results with it. It is being trialled by the NHS but as Lindsey has had cancer before (3 times now in total), she isnt eligible for the trials so she has to pay privately. They dont know if they can offer the treatment until they check a sample of her tumour. The cost for the test alone is £1950...yes expensive isnt it! Once they have performed the test they will then know if they can offer treatment, what type of treatment and the cost of said treatment. I dont think it's going to be cheap... So….. this is where I would like ALL of our Families to help and come together like I know BAC can. We will be having a fundraising week at the studios, it will take place from Saturday 18th May and run until Thursday 23rd May. We will be having a cake sale every night, and throughout the week we would like everyone to come dressed in yellow and pay £1. We would love for everyone to get involved. If you would like to bring or make cakes for the sale please let us know. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. New Term Weekly update
- The Reception is now up and running, although its not finished yet. Please report to reception for all enquiries.
- Please park in Car park spaces on site. Please do not park across the through road, next to where I park my car (where the minibus is) as large vans and lorries have to get through. If there are no parking spaces, please use the large car park which is straight on as you drive into the estate. -
... - Parent watch for Gymnastics only will be for all gymnastics classes the week commencing 20th may.
- Those that have booked to see the Great Gatsby on 11th may . your tickets will be handed out next week.
- RAD Ballet Exams - 1st May- exam fees are due, 11th may- coaching classes fee due
- Gym badges- if anyone is owed any that you have paid for, please speak to reception and we will arrange
- Half term camp- Tuesdays 28th May and Thursday 30th MAy. Price is £15 per child. It is open to BAC and Non BAC members. Dance, Drama, Arts and Crafts, singing and gymnastics. 9:30-3pm. Please bring packed lunch, drinks and snacks.
- At the weekend our Gymnastic competition team, competed in their first competition. Our result are on Facebook. We did absolutely amazing, and we are extremely proud.
- 6th may show deposit is due.
- Just a gentle reminder that we are not closed for bank holidays, if you are NOT coming please let us know so we can plan lessons accordingly
- All classes are on until summer break in August. We will not be closing for anymore half terms.
- The tracksuit order for anyone that has ordered from now or just before Easter will be out in this week. It usually takes a couple of weeks to arrive. As soon as it is in we will give them out.
- UNIFORM, please check that students are wearing the correct uniform, especially in Ballet classes. I am having to send students out to get changed as they are arriving in clothes that are not appropriate for Ballet lessons. It is really important for me to be able to see the line in the body, so that feedback can be given accordingly.
- SHOW LETTERS- everyone now who has attended classes should of received an show letter. If you have not received an show letter and I have not already spoken to you, please let us know and we will arrange one asap for you.

Wow what a day! 18 months ago we began gymnastics classes at the school, after being open a considerable amount of time, we decided to start a competition class. Today we have been at our first ever competition. To say we are incredibly proud is an understatement, our students were up against clubs that have been going for years and years and have competed at many competitions. What a fantastic starting point for us all, we will be taking all the scores and feedback and seei...ng what we need to work on for our next competition and we can’t wait!
Massive thankyou to wilmslow gymnastics for hosting such a fab and friendly competition. And a even bigger thank you to coach Misha and coach Lucy!
Our results are as follows;
Under 5’s Vault - 1st place floor- 1st place Overall winner- 1st place

The last section was the pre novice section, it was an extremely difficult round, although we didn’t place our superstars did amazing. They were a couple of Special awards given for section pre novice section that we won.

On Saturday at our mini showcase. In-between shows we did ‘peer massage’ . The students loved it and left the room feeling refocused, relaxed and reenergised! What a lovely day we had!
Oh then the students decided it was time for Miss Siobhan to have a little pamper.
We love these kiddies so much! It’s even better when you walk into the studios after the show and you’ve got students telling you what an amazing time they had! 💙

I am extremely sorry but we are having to cancel todays lesson. (gym tots only, all other gym classes are on as normal)
Miss Misha has had a small car accident on her way back from visiting family and is currently stuck in Birmingham and will not make it for her Gym Tots classes.

We hope you all had a lovely mother’s Day yesterday!
Wow, what a fantastic mini showcase/fundraiser we had on Saturday! ... We we’re blown away by the children, and they were amazing back stage. We have such a lovely BAC family.
Just a little note to say April fees are due today, invoices will be sent this morning. Apologise for the delay, it’s been an extremely busy month. Please make sure all fees are paid for before break up.
Elite Gym- Comp payment is due. Today is the final day to pay. No payment, No comp. please do not forget that you have extra rehearsals during the Easter holidays.
Adult Fusion- last day for payment for the ICE Champs Competition
Half Term Camp- This week is your last week to book and pay for Half term camp.
RAD Ballet Exam- Letters will be sent home this week to those that are ready for Ballet exams.
Annual Show- Letters will be sent home this week to all students who are invited to perform in our annual show.
Half Term- we close for half term on Sunday 7th April and Re- Open on Tuesday 23rd April. The admin side of the school will also be closed during this time. Any messages will be answered upon our return.

Yesterday’s show was amazing and the improvement shown from all the performers was incredible! So much hard work put in and it has really paid off. My girls love it �

They are fab with the little ones, my two have come so far. Their Confidence is growing and growing.

My little girl took a few weeks to get use to dancing the girls made her feel so welcome made her laugh everytime she was teary. Now she loves going!!! her confidence is amazing thanks to the girls 🖒�� xx

My little girl has been with BDC for about 18 months now, and loves it. We have just been to her first ‘proper’ dance show and it was amazing, I am so proud of all the staff and students. The incredible team are truly amazing and they make the children feel confident, and fulfil their potential. All super stars �, FAB-U-LOUS xxx

My girlies are taught ballet, tap and modern by Miss Siobhan. They love her to bits. She really understands each child's individuality and teaches to their needs and capabilities. If you are looking for a dance teacher for your little one (or not so little one), you should come here.

She began on the Express Yourself class and has loved every minute since her first session. Her confidence and determination for a 5 year old is brilliant and is down to the time, effort and passion that the staff at BDC put into their pupils, classes and shows.

My daughter now attends RAD pre-primary tap & ballet as well and loves this equally as much.

Can't wait to go on our theatre trip with them all at the end of the month... �

My daughter is 6 and has been with boundary since the age of 3. Its amazing to watch her develop as a confident young dancer and be taught by Siobhan who is wonderful with all the children. Very exciting times ahead for Boundary Dance Co.

My daughter has attended melody bear at BDC for nearly 2 years and took part in her first show today. Her confidence has grown and she really enjoys her sessions. I can highly recommend the company due to the talented and welcoming staff and fun classes.

My daughter absolutely loves it. For a 2yr old to be as confident as she is going into classes can only be a reflection on the amazing teachers and the relationship she has with them. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a class for thier child.

I have three children at Boundary Dance Company now, my eldest has had classes for about 5 years now and I could not recommend this dance school highly enough. The staff are so caring and dedicated to each and every student. My children love spending time at the studio and have grown and developed so much since being there. The annual shows are fantastic and there's always something going on at the studio, dance camps, exams, shows and other activities too. A great school and a lively dance family to be part of!
