Bowen Therapy At Ian'S

I was in church a few weeks ago when one of my friends from church came over to tell me about her teaching scouts to dance. Her husband is a former district commissioner for the scouts.He and my friend have set up a scout group at church.
She told me that at the last meeting she had been teaching the boys Irish dancing in preparation for St Patrick's day. Very good, I distractedly, commented. She stood in front of me and said did you hear what I said? Before I had the Bowe...n treatment there is no way I could have been performing Irish dance let alone teqchit to other people.
This particular lady is my number one 'product champion'. She agreed to be a case study when I was training to become a Bowen therapist. Her response to the treatments has been very positive. Back problems and knee problems have gone and not returned. She has also had life changing surgery and claims that her post operative recovery was due to the Bowen treatment she had afterwards.

The first person I treated, other than my case studies, had been off work for five months with sciatic pain. She was recommended to try a Bowen treatment by a neighbour who had been one of my case studies. She told me that she had been diagnosed as having narrow dural tubes and it was this that was causing her sciatic pain.
The treatment I offered consisted of the Bowen relaxation moves 1,2 and 3. The relaxation moves concentrate on the lumber area, the area surrounding the... shoulder blades and the neck. These three procedures are used on a first visit and help to assess an individual's response to the Bowen treatment.
In successive visits I also included the hamstring procedure, the pelvic procedure and the lumber procedure. Initially she came every week and realised she was feeling the benefit when she became aware that she had stopped using pain relief medication.
After a few weeks we reduced the treatment to fortnightly and then monthly. Once she was free from pain she discontinued the treatment and made a successful return to work. To date she has had no need for any further treatment.
