One of the UK`s leading vehicle rental companies, Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, have recently invested in a comprehensive brake testing training programme for their 50 strong fleet of mobile vehicle technicians and national network of workshop based testing centres, each having their own dedicated portable DVSA approved brake test kit supplied by Norwich based manufacturer, Bowmonk-Tapley. Dave Adderley, Vehicle Repair Manager a...t Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, explains “The law requires that each HGV must be brake tested at least 4 times per year and Bowmonk`s DVSA approved BrakeCheck gives us the tests and relevant print outs we require.” Adderley added “This programme enhances the service we provide to our customers. We inspect the majority of our HGV fleet on site, and the BrakeCheck with its easy-to-follow menu suits our requirements perfectly”. Bowmonk`s UK Technical executive Chris Bailey, who provided the training, said “Although our Brake testers are really easy to use, it was seen as a pro-active measure by Enterprise to ensure all of their testing personnel are confident and well versed in the correct testing procedures. According to WhoCanFixMyCar.com after analysing over 47,000 lines of data from 2016, the website has uncovered that there are 44 per cent more repairs carried out on cars in their fourth year than in their third year.
