What a beautiful place,the room was outstanding, it was clean and well stocked with every thing you could want, we had evening meal and breakfast, which you could not fault, and to top it off the staff were excellent very helpful and made sure you had everything you needed. We had a game of golf the next day which wasn't so good as it was really windy, but will go back in the better weather, I think there's a lot of hotels out there that could do with learning from bowood, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We have just had a superb stay at Bowood House Hotel Golf & Spa. We would like to thank all the lovely staff who made us so welcome and looked after our every need so efficiently and in such a friendly manner. It was a surprise treat for my husbands 70th Birthday and we would like to thank you for the beautiful welcome to our room with a waiting complimentary bottle of Prosecco fruit basket also lovely cookies. My husband enjoyed the Golf course, driving range & practice ground and we both loved the Spa & walk to our complimentary entry to Bowood House & Grounds. Afternoon tea was great too! Thank you for making our special occasion "Extra Special", we will definitely look forward to a return visit some time. Sheila & John McKenna

Myself and my family had the most wonderful afternoon tea today. The food was delicious and the service absolutely exceptional. We were very well looked after and I must especially thank Sebastian who was an amazing help with my father who is in a wheelchair. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We felt truly spoilt and had a lovely afternoon. Thank you!

My partner and I got married in October and we could not have picked a more beautiful setting. As we lived in Chester and planning a wedding in Wiltshire, it was not always the easiest but I cannot thank the team enough for everything you did for us. Freddie was fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble, you worked with me and my parents to ensure that everything ran smoothly on the day. Michael and his team were fantastic and the food - well people are still talking about the Bowood pie! We decided to take advantage of the house and gardens and have some fantastic photos to remember our day with. The following day there was Sunday lunch for over 40 of our guests and again everything was how we wanted it. Thank you to everyone who was part of our amazing day!

Me and my boyfriend stayed Saturday night (room 223) and it was bloody fantastic! I must say the superb staff made it for me, particularly reception staff and the complimentary treats in the room for our anniversary really made it special. A wonderfully relaxing weekend, thank you.

Just spent a weekend at the hotel in suite 340. Absolutely stunning location. Great Spa and we had a lovely walk to the house and round the gardens. Our only disappointment was the meal in the restaurant on Saturday night. The food was excellent but the service was so below the standard we would expect. We asked for drinks and had to remind them 10 mins later. We waited an age between courses and allthough we don't like to be rushed two and a half hours for a three course meal was just to long. The strange thing was it wasn't even busy. Having said all that it is a great place to stay and we would go back but would go and eat somewhere else.

Just attended a friends wedding at bowood. First class accommodation and staff. Special mention to Megan and Tom behind the bar who were here at the start of the day and at the end of a hugely busy night. Lovely meal last night in the main d a very impressive meal today for the wedding party. Highly recommended.

I was very impressed with this beautiful hotel and attention to detail. After a long 5 hour drive the freshly baked cookies in my room where just perfect along with the roaring fires to sit infront of. I mostly enjoyed the spa especially the sauna and aromertherapy shower. I will definitely be visiting again.

Had my sister's birthday party at Bowood Hotel and Golf Resort last night and the place and staff were amazing. The place is set in tranquil soroundings and the hotel is magnificent. Rebecca and her staff provided us with world class care service and made our family event a day to remember. The food were excellent and Rebecca and her team made sure we were looked after from beginning to end, they are certainly a big asset to the hotel. I recommended this hotel highly and will certainly go back!

Had an amazing day here yesterday for a wedding 🎩. The setting is just stunning for the photographs.The food you couldn’t fault ,the staff were extremely professional and hard working especially Micheal who was serving us. We didn’t stay in the hotel but several guests from the wedding did they said how nice the rooms are .We joined them for breakfast the following day and what a breakfast!! Spoilt for choice doesn’t come close but I can personally recomens the full English breakfast,sausage,bacon,beans,mushrooms,b lack pudding,choice of fried,poached or scrambled egg.would definitely recommend coming here .Thankyou to all Bowood staff who made a perfect day .

Had a spa day followed by a night in the hotel. We stayed in room 221 which had a balcony overlooking the golf course, the room was brilliant with all the comforts you need. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the food and service was fantastic. Lastly a big shout out to the staff who were all very welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Had a brilliant day out at Bowood with the kids thanks to my mum and my sister! Met a lovely lady (a social worker) and her son in the soft play area where our children got on really well! The kids say her sons name is Kia but I'm not sure! They live local and are season pass holders! We would really like to get in touch if any one at bowood could help in any way!

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Bowood. Every member of staff we came into contact with was genuinely friendly and helpful making us feel so welcome. Beautiful rooms, ( balcony room worth paying extra for ) with amazing countryside views, fluffy robes, freshly baked cookies and a complimentary bottle of bubbly as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary.

Fabulous spa facilities, best massage I've had in a long time (thank you Katherine ÔøΩ), even had a go at the academy golf course (once again complimentary ).

Everything was just perfect! Excellent breakfast, delicious dinner, beautiful walks through the grounds with free access to Bowood House & Gardens, and helpful, courteous staff seeing to all our needs with a friendly smile.

We will definitely be returning there, very soon I hope!

We brought our friend here for Afternoon tea as a birthday treat. The hotel setting is beautiful, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was lovely only disappointment was the cakes we didn't have one of each to try so had to cut them in half.

We had a look at the Spa area too and was impressed we may be back soon.

Spent the day at the food fest yesterday. We really enjoyed the day. There was lots to see ,eat and drink. The GIN masterclass and taster was up my street! We would have liked to walk around the gardens before we left. But a further cost seemed a bit much after already paying for ticket.This is why I didn't give a 5*

A friend and I had a Wednesday full spa day with treatment; full use of the gym which looked out over the golf course fantastic views; both steam room and sauna; aromatherapy shower, pool and hot tub with sun loungers again looking out over the golf course; excellent friendly staff who were well prepared and highly organised, they couldn't do enough for us. Everything the package promised was delivered, would love to go again :-)

Had afternoon tea the tea itself was nice but disappointed to not be seated in the dining room I did pre book however on arrival we were shown to a sofa area with a coffee table as nice as the room is (library) I do feel it more appropriate to be seated at a table whilst consuming food.

Had a spa day with my daughter , was lovely , although was disappointed at how small the spa is , it's basically a small pool with 2 steam rooms , unless you booked a treatment you would be bored, most spas I've been to have lots of different rooms , a few different pools etc , the staff we're lovely , food was ok , the facial was excellent , I think it's over priced for what it is , and probably wouldn't return , I'd rather pay to go to a more exclusive spa , if your after a mediocre spa day then this is ok , but over priced for what it is .

Had a spa day with my daughter , was lovely , although was disappointed at how small the spa is , it's basically a small pool with 2 steam rooms , unless you booked a treatment you would be bored, most spas I've been to have lots of different rooms , a few different pools etc , the staff we're lovely , food was ok , the facial was excellent , I think it's over priced for what it is , and probably wouldn't return , I'd rather pay to go to a more exclusive spa , if your after a mediocre spa day then this is ok , but over priced for what it is .

We had a family afternoon tea for 12, although a beautiful setting & the weather was perfect- they seated us outside but as they could not provide enough shade, the sandwiches dried up & the cakes melted before we could finish eating them, so a bit disappointing!
