Working closely with fishery consultant Andrew Ellis, we have been using affordable alternative feeds as apposed to fishmeals to create a palatable nutritional pellet feed.
We have always encouraged feeding cereals because of the reduced risk of water quality issues that you can get with oily fishmeals, coupled with the fact that meat proteins are so expensive. We have formulated a safe, simple and nutritious pellet with a safe protein level of between 23-26% and oil content of 3% . We are actively developing new feeds for different purposes, working alongside nutritionists and vets, you can feed with trust.
We aim to encouraging fisheries to feed there stock as a fishery management tool to maintain fish condition, improve feeding activity (and catches) as well as an aid to help fish recover from capture quickly, getting them back to feeding and growing minimizing the stress period.
Our feeds also have a place in an on-growing environment to substitute a percentage of expensive fishmeal feeds. Fed sensibly, feed bills can be cut dramatically without sacrificing growth as we have proven in our growing ponds and during feed trials. Expect to see improved profit margins feeding our very affordable pellet with reduced risk of water quality problems that come with overfeeding oily meat proteins.
