Went in for kitchen units etc got everything I needed and a very helpful young lady staff member helped me with the heavy items couldn't praise her enough a joy to shop at b&q it's a pity other stores are not as welcoming long may you be as obliging

Nice place to visit and buy things for your house and garden. But in terms of delivery of a shed is not good idea. Parts of the shed are not in good condition as I took a photo of it and some are wet and damp after they delivered to us. I think it should be check and keep it dry if they going to deliver. The instruction is not good guidelines unless you do it by your instincts. After we inform our concerns to them as we bought another 2nd shed from them to deliver. It's still the same experience. Very disappointed for 2nd time around.

Staff knowledgeable and show you to what you ask for. All on one level so no need lifts.

B & Q have masses of filled hanging baskets and empty ones so you can plant your own.
Not one bracket to hang them from in the entire store. After wasting ages trying to find them, asked a member of staff and was told "we did'nt get any". I guess like all the other customers i will have to put my hanging baskets on the ground. Why the 5 stars? Because the staff are excellent, and its not their fault.

Customer Services (think her name was Moira) doesn't know how a 'Guarantee' system works. Returned an auto wind 25 metre Hozelock which had jammed. This was purchased 8 months ago. B&Q offered a 20 metre (inferior) replacement if we paid £30 extra, as that was now their shelf price. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Went direct to Hozelock who were excellent and sent a replacement by courier.
Don't purchase anything from B&Q if this is their Guarantee policy, or perhaps it is just this member of staff requiring some training on customers rights and Guarantees!

Went to Carlisle store for building sand and was met by RHys. This young man could not have done more. He was polite, helpful, got the sand for me and took it to my car. What a difference to some stores. It was a very nice visit thanks to this young man.

Good range of products, but £1.38 for two tiny plug o-rings is daylight robbery! (The fee must be for the packaging and handling, I guess.) The assistant in the paint section was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Just been to b and q in carlisle i needed a repair to a butlers tray with a lost screw.the assistant matthew was beyond kind.i left the store with it completely repaired.if only other stores had a matthew ,going an extra10miles for custmers.
