The Bradford Cover & Twine Company made its first awning in 1963 at the request of a local haulage contractor, and exhibited at the Earls Court Show in 1965. Its product proved popular, and production continued to rise to meet demand throughout the late 60's and early 70's, when Martin Fawcett, the current owner of the business, was asked to step in and look after the awning division
