Braintree Tennis Club was founded in 1983. Facilities include three floodlit artificial grass courts, one hard court and three grass courts for summer use.

The Boys 18's played an away fixture today at Earles Colne. Another solid winning performance from Will Parker, Jack Parker, Sam Crow and Harry Briffa bringing their scores so far this season to four wins out of four fixtures. Great work boys.
A great start to the New Year for the Boys 18's today. The team of Jack Parker, Sam Crow, Jack Davidsen and Josh Packer hosted Lexden Tennis Club. Jack D and Josh impressed on their debut matches for the 18's winning both their singles and doubles whilst the experience of Jack P and Sam showed through in two fantastic singles battles against strong visiting players with Jack and Sam winning both matches. Great sportsman and FairPlay from both sides. Great work.
Junior club night this Wednesday 16th, come along and join us between 5-7pm.

The 14 and under Girl's team of Millie Davidsen and Aimee Barltrop started the New Year well with an away fixture at Lexden. After a few weeks break the girls showed great effort winning two out of their five matches. Good start girls.

Braintree Boy's 18's team hosted Hamptons at home today. Jack Parker, Sam Crow, Will Parker and Harry Briffa played strongly showing their experience and skill. The visiting team played valiantly, not giving up despite the windy conditions. Braintree won convincingly winning all matches.
Social tennis evening for members and friends. There will be pizzas and the bar will be open.
Junior Club Night (Yellow Ball Players) went ahead as planned despite the rain conditions. Well done to our juniors who braved the weather, great to see you all on court. Thank you to Nicky Parker who supervised the session this week. The next Junior Club Session is planned for Wednesday 12th December, hope to see many of you there.
The 14 and under Boy's B team hosted The Officer's Club this afternoon. The team of Alfie Jopson, Adam Gilchrist, Jude Gray and Matthew Stephenson played well with some long rallies and close games. Jude won his singles match but the visiting team took the win overall. Well done boys.

The Braintree 14's Boys B team had a fantastic start to their season with a home win against Dunmow B. The team of Matthew Stephenson, Alfie Jopson, Adam GilChrist and Jude Gray showed fantastic sportsman and play winning five out of six matches. Keep up the good work boys.
Braintree Junior Coaching Programme starts Saturday for the Autumn Term. Looking forward to see everyone after the holidays, hope all our juniors have had a great summer and have settled back into their schools well. Our summer camps were another big success over the holidays. Great enthusiasm from all players, our camps take over the club for 5 full weeks and it’s great to see so much fun being had, enjoying a sport we love. See you all on court soon 🎾
Five weeks of summer school starts tomorrow. Children aged between 5 and 16 will learn to develop their ball skills and stroke techniques through interesting training and fun games.
