Bramble And Goose Description
Welcome to Bramble and Goose! I'm a Mum of four. I have a BA in three dimensional design, I tried my hand at most things during my time at both art college and university (glasswork, woodwork, jewellery, photography, graphics and so on) eventually I settled into a specialisation in ceramics. . . . however I must say my real passion is textiles, I love sewing and fabrics (oh the fabric! It's an addiction) and I always kind of regretted not pushing that side of things more. Then about eight years after leaving university I realised that life didn't all have to be about the mortgage and tie ins that come with raising a small army of a family. . . and I could totally find some me time to do the things I enjoy and be creative again.
I have a love of everything 'vintage' and can often be found rummaging around in charity shops for old books, antique linen *swoon! And anything else that takes my fancy. I also love writing. . . again I wish I had somehow pursued this more during my student days however, I started myself a little blog which I find really therapeutic to do, you can find a link to this via the website address on this page. I had a little idea to incorporate my interests together so two years ago I set myself a little studio up on my parents farm. . . it's pretty idyllic! There I can be found when the weather is fine pottering about while the children build dens and play on the rope swing. . . I confess I much prefer the comforts of my kitchen when faffing during the winter months.

This is just the best pack of goodies to receive, it’s like my birthday...except they’re not mine to keep. Today I was supposed to hanging all these bits of loveliness from @warringtoncreativescollective in the tree at the top of the drive for all to see, alas the weather is not being too kindly but they will be up at some point this week. So it’s been about six months of my creative hiatus and I have been very gradually getting myself back into the swing of things one small step at a time since the new year...keeping the pressure to a minimum and the work/life balance in equilibrium. I’ve been a little under the weather this week but have managed to sort the shed studio out to be workshop ready for tomorrow...first one of the year!
