The Garden Room was lovely, well equipped, homely and warm. Always a welcome home from a day out in respect of the lights were on and the room looked inviting, a nice touch. The bed was made daily, bins emptied and complimentary tray replenished. When I opened the curtains, I could see the hills which was fab. Alison was very pleasant and I would certainly stay again.

Very friendly welcome and sharing of local knowledge from the owner. Pretty setting and peace and quiet. Local pub served good quality home cooked food and was very close considering the small hamlet that the BandB is set in. Would happily book again. Excellent drinks tray provided and kettle just boiled when seen arriving.

The property is very comfortable and good value and excellent value for money, far exceeding expectations in all respects. There are a few single track roads to go down but follow the excellent directions sent by the proprietors then there are no problems with access in a car.

I stayed in this bed & breakfast on Friday 31 January having read a number of excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. The B&B offers excellent value accommodation. The room that I stayed in was an annex to the main house and was very spacious and comfortable. The room came equipped with free wifi and a TV with in-built DVD, which was especially useful given the weather on the evening that I stayed! The owner of the B&B was very welcoming and was helpful with her local directions etc. Apparently there is a pub only a short walk away from the B&B which I would, no doubt, have enjoyed had it not been for the inclement weather...! This is an excellent B&B and I would undoubtedly stay here again.

We stayed one night on our way to Cornwall based mainly on location and price. This was probably the lowest rate I've paid for a B&B in the UK so I was somewhat concerned about quality. I needn't have worried. We had a very comfortable and clean room which is all I could ask for. The proprietor was welcoming and helpful. He recommended a couple of places to eat and we ended up going down the road to the pub where we had a good meal. On our return from Cornwall, we ended up staying another night here. We phoned from the road without much warning and turned up an hour later. We had a room only rate so I cannot comment on breakfast. If you need a clean, comfortable and good value choice in the area, this is a fine place to stay.

My partner and I stayed in the Brambles for just one night. From the moment we arrived we were made so very welcome by the owner. This B&B was just perfect . Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh just for us. Wish we could have stayed longer, but alas it was only a flying visit. Will certainly stay here again if we come back to Devon. Thank you for your very warm friendly like home approach. Oh and the bed was comfy too.

What an absolute gem of a place! We were lucky enough to get the Garden Room and my goodness, what a bargain! Such a lovely room, and so comfortable. The weather outside really was dreadful, but we were warm and toasty, with no hint of the storm outside affecting us. The problem we had finding the place was mostly due to my misreading the very detailed directions! Although I do think a house name on the cottage would be a good idea. The welcome was very friendly without being intrusive or gushing. We opted to sort our own breakfast on the road, so can't comment on that side of things, but have no reason to believe the service wouldn't have been the same high standard. We would ( and already have) highly recommend Brambles to other people.

Me and my patner booked and stayed here for one night just as a little get-away and relax time away from home. Really enjoyed our stay, couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Very welcome, warm and cosy. Will definatley be recommending. Very quiet and subdude and very relaxing. Plenty of tea and coffee, even biscuits as a welcome! Everything we needed, was absolutely perfect.

Lovely welcome, clean, quiet, excellent breakfast. The room was well stocked with teas, coffee etc bottled water. Added bonus in that it’s just a 15min walk to the local pub
