User

Such a lovely garden centre. This is our favourite place for Christmas decorations every year - good choice and reasonably priced. We also visited the cafe yesterday and the hot chocolate was lovely. Was especially pleased to see the sign to say that the cafe is a breastfeeding friendly. Perfect all round. Hannah

User

Santa was amazing this morning at the Santa arrival. He was so friendly and chatty with my children. The best Santa we have ever seen οΏ½ he really took his time to make sure the children were happy and that is what Christmas is about 10 out of 10 to brambridge for making this such a great event οΏ½ οΏ½ definitely will be recommending to my friends and family to visit Santa's grotto οΏ½

User

Really lovely garden centre, plenty of parking to start with.

Plants always healthy and thrive when home. Attractive layout and always like saying hello to the goats.

The inside shopping is bright and colourful with such a range of goods they always have something that calls me!

The cafe and patio seating area is really good and a lovely place for cake, cream teas or even a meal.

Overall a really lovely place in any weather for a stroll and a cuppa.

User

Lovely. Had a wonderful browse round all the garden areas and inside. So much to see. We then had a lovely lunch. Food was hot and very tasty. Also a lovely waitress. Can't wait to go again.

User

Love this place. Great stock of healthy plants, staff are very friendly and helpful.

Restaurant is good- always busy though so difficult to sometimes find a seat but worth the wait.

Some nice walks next to the River Itchen, Model Steam Railway and birds of prey.

What more could you ask for.

User

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to a lady that works in the cafe who totally felt my pain with my tantruming toddler, she did all she could to make us feel so welcome. You are very lucky to have such a lovely member of staff οΏ½

User

It's the most convenient garden centre near me. I have been there twice this week to get some plants and I had some bargains from their sale section. I also had five pounds off my shopping as I have joined their loyalty card. The staff are very approachable and very helpful in giving me advice on gardening. I love this place.

User

Brought our 3yr old son here to see Santa this week & it was great. Santa was so friendly and sweet despite our son answering every one of his questions with "uh-huh" as he went super shy! Santa persevered though & was lovely which we appreciated!

The garden centre was great, very festive & we finished our gift shopping as they had such a great selection. Food in the cafe was gorgeous and the staff were so nice: chatting to the kids everytime they went past. Food was a little pricey but delicious so worth it for a one off celebration.

Would definitely recommend!

User

A big thank you to the restaurant staff this morning, really helpful and chatty. I took my 21 month old (very active) little boy in this morning, a lovely lady carried our tray to a table by the play area. He was over the moon and played so nicely so I could enjoy a hot coffee. Thank you

User

We visit the garden centre quite frequently as my husband likes their plants and to get ideas.

We decided to have lunch on our last visit,my husband had the roast chicken and veg and I chose the ham,egg and chips.

I feel the prices are a little steep, and that I'm always feel rushed to make a choice!

You have to go into the food area to see what is being served,a menu on the tables would ease the crowd in the food area who are trying to see what is on offer!

Also after getting the food and drinks you then have to queue to pay,all the while the food is getting cold!

User

Very good and extensive range of garden related items, cafe quite good. Very popular. Quite expensive but good vouchers to get reductions so not bad value overall.

User

This really is a lovely venue with plenty to see if you're keen on gardening and spending money! I must say on the occasions I have visited it's to attend something special in the cafe/restaurant area which really does lend itself to group bookings. The set cream tea is lovely and I have seen some very luscious lunches being served too. Garden centre wise, my husband who did in fact have an extensive browse round the plants and garden equipment reported that it was seriously expensive, but that's just one perspective obviously. From my point of view, there was a huge display of greetings cards and many, many ideas for gifts both for him, her and children. Definitely worth a visit. Good parking too

User

Nice but the cafe is wayyy to expensive!

User

We walked along the itchen navigation trail to the centre we had a cheese scone and a coffee, everything else was very expensive, Β£7 for a sandwich,!! so we chose the cheaper option but it was very dry and hard to swallow, wish we had got a sandwich and shared it, but the coffee was nice, also having walked the trail we didn't know where the garden centre was so we asked a passer by it would be useful if they could put a sign up to encourage the walkers to visit xx

User

Love the garden centre and their Christmas goods & displays but visiting Santa was a little disappointing as after standing in a queue for well over an hour (yet there didn't seem to be many in front of us) by the time it was our grandsons turn they were both fed up & very cold. Nothing to entertain them whilst standing in the same spot for so long apart from an elf movie up on a TV screen which got their attention the first time round! Having said that, Santa's little house was beautifully decorated & very very pretty. He himself was very attentive asking lots of questions to both boys. The presents however weren't that great & the eldest got something far too young for him. We paid Β£6 each and feel that it was not really worth it. We won't be going back next year!! .. Shame :-(

User

Decorations were great, the grotto was great, But didn’t rate Santa much. He didn’t even ask what the children wanted for Christmas, only told them to be good and help mummy with the washing up and to share their chocolate. Didn’t engage much with the eldest at all. Their gifts were good though, puzzle, fidget spinner and a sketch pad.

User

Wasn't very impressed with the visit to see Santa at the weekend. The gift for a 5yr old boy was terrible, 99p shop plastic catapult. With the additional cost of Β£2.50 to see reindeer I think the price is high for what you get after also queuing a long time. It was rather greedy to charge extra to see the reindeer, it should have been included in cost of the grotto. After complaining about the gift it was replaced by a friendly member of staff.

User

Came specifically to the cafe to meet up with friends and was very disappointed. We all had to go to the counter to choose what we wanted to eat, as there are no menus on the table. If you have someone that's disabled it would very difficult. We ordered our food separately as we went up in twos, so it didn't all come out at the same time. Then you have to queue for your drinks, move to another little room to pay, all the while holding your tray of drinks as there was nowhere to put your tray. Once you've paid you have go to your table to put your tray down, then go back to get cutlery etc. I agree with other comments that it was very expensive. I'm used to eating out and don't mind paying a higher price if I'm getting value for money but come on, over Β£7 for a sandwich!! Won't be going again. It seems other reviews are similar, so hopefully management will read these comments and take note!!
