Wonderful setting with views over the bay. Upstairs terrace is great for pre-meal drinks. Fish and chips are really good and the staff are friendly and attentive. Art Deco vibe is a real bonus.

Front of house staff freindly and helpful. Place was packed when we arrived BH Monday morning, but they told us to hang on for 10mins and they would find us a table. Which they did.

We had the Beach breakfast, which at £9.50 seems a bit expensive, but when you consider the location, views and what we got ( 2 x bacon, 2 x sausage, 2 x eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and 2 x toast) it wasn't.

Was a little slow getting to us but when you think how busy they were, it was fine. Poor staff did a great job coping with the demand in the heat.



Certainly recommend if you want a nice meal.in a great location.

Took katherine to Branksome beach for a BBQ and decided to eat here -even though alone ( hubby in Eire) was welcomed and treated with courtesy -the food was served quickly and efficiently-I was not sure re desert and asked my waitress -May -who said the pineapple dish looked good -I had it -yum yum is my description !

May ( who is from Nicaragua) was a delight and made my evening -thank you

It was our first stay in Bournemouth.

My family and i were all there for a long weekend for my 60th birthday.

We stopped here for a drink and snack and sat outside on the balcony. Lovely place and food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a return visit next time we are there!

Enjoyed the food enormously. I had hot cooked salmon on cool veggies in a gazpacho sauce. Quite amazing. I loved it and the waiter was very nice too. There wasn’t a table out on the terrace free but they suggested we wait and have a drink and call us when one came available. Worked very well. Will go here again.

Always great food and the view is the best I have been there many times through out the year [a 2 hour drive from London] and have never been disappointed. Incidentally I don't know if it is a co incidence but the weather has always been great even in December

Always an enjoyable experience. Offers good service, excellent cooked breakfast menu, quality food and very good coffee. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a lively place with a good atmosphere, whilst offering a great location.

Lovely place, nice serting. Not so pleased when we walked down the next morning (Monday) just before 9 for coffee not knowing it didn’t open til 10! Had to go somewhere else. Shame.

Great place with amazing sea views, located right on the beach side. The food was really good, Lovely menu, well cooked & great presentation. Only let down by the staff, service very slow & one of the waiters found it difficult to understand our order & then didn't get it completely right. Work on the customer service & would be 5 star.....it's letting you down.....the food & cakes are amazing.

It is a lovely location and the food was very good however, the service needs improvement as it was slow. The restaurant was not busy and still the service was lame. For such a fantastic location the owners/staff should not rest on their laurels..... the restaurant is expensive too so you expect the service to match the prices.

I had the burger at £15, which I didn’t finish cos it was chewy meat and the fries were just cheap frozen chips out of a bag.

My partner had the fish @ £16.50 which was nice but also asked for fries which he didn’t like either. I can’t comment about the double cooked large chips as we didn’t order these, so they may have been amazing. The view was very good but food was pricey.

Didn’t tell us we had to book been here waiting since 0800 only to find they open at 0930 and to sit outside you need to make a reservation. After joining a long queue the breakfast better be worth it. came on friends recommendation so no info regarding booking however guy in the queue behind us phoned in and booked and managed to bag an outside table so I guess they are saved for those that book only

Very over priced. Pot of tea was disgusting like dish water. Stairs to upstairs were very dirty and dusty. Didn't like the staff. Only thing I liked was the view.

Such a lovely location and decor, but this is all ruined by how the staff are so so rude!!! The staff upstairs (who you order coffees/drinks etc.. from) are so rude - everything seems too much effort - they dont smile, they have such an awful attitude and make you feel bad for even ordering!!! Especially as the coffee isnt even freshly ground - all they are doing is pressing a button & charging £3.30 for a small cappucino!!! I keep going back and hoping for a change, but they need to hire some happier and more helpful staff or give them some serious training!!!!

Lovely location, but £15 For 2 pieces of small sour dough bread "Dorset crab" a bit of rocket and cucumber. Also £3 For a coffee from a machine?... It's about value for money and that didn't represent good value for money.

What's a terrible shame, turn up for breakfast and the restaurant is almost empty.. yet apparently because we didn't book the kitchen can't off a table for an hour. It's empty guys! How hard is breakfast to cook! Rude and unfriendly, never come here again.

This morning my wife & I cycled for poole to bournemouth and on are way home thought we would stop of at Branksome beach cafe so finding an empty table on the terrace my wife sat down while I chained the bikes to a post as I looked up to the terrace where my wife sat a Very loud mouth waiter started shouting at my wife you can’t sit there this table is taken by the people inside. They want it . As you can Imagine she was very embarrassed when the terrace was full of people all looking at her. It upset her for the rest of the day.The man was very aggressive and we will not ever be going back there .

The food was inedible. After complaining I was told that that’s just how it comes and there is nothing wrong with it. The chef was speaking about us rather rudely to the waitress as it has an open kitchen and you can hear every word. The salad was taken off the bill but going to a restaurant and leaving hungry isn’t what I had in mind. The customer service wasn’t much better and it’s far over priced for what is simply average at best food. Wouldn’t revisit or recommend. A restaurant needs more than a good view.
