Branscombe Festival Description

After the success of the first ever Branscombe Festival in 2013, the stunning Devonshire village of Branscombe will play host to the second Branscombe Festival on Friday 25 – Sunday 27 July.

Over three days the Branscombe Festival will present performances from leading classical and jazz musicians, including stars of the international opera stage Ailish Tynan and Luis Gomes, dance band The Leo Green Experience, a capella vocal ensemble I Fagiolini, cellist Philip Higham and the UK's only fully professional ragtime band, Albert Ball’s Flying Aces with guest vocalist Patricia Hammond. The festival will culminate with a free concert by the Band of the Royal Marines on Branscombe beach.

The festival is curated by renowned pianist Iain Burnside and hosted by BBC Radio 3 broadcaster and journalist Petroc Trelawny.

The 2014 Branscombe Festival supports the RNLI with a donation of 50p from every ticket sold.
