About Breadwinners

Breadwinners is an ambitious grassroots charity set up in 2016. Our mission is to act as a catalyst to empower unemployed refugees into meaningful work in the UK. We do this by providing work experience, employment, entrepreneurship and mentoring on Breadwinners artisan market stalls selling fresh organic bread across London and Brighton. In the UK, 95% of us buy bread from bakers, supermarkets and artisans every day. Wouldn't it be great if sales from the bread industry could be turned into a sustainable opportunity to help the most vulnerable in society? Breadwinners has developed a business model which allows us to create long lasting solutions for those seeking refuge in our country and struggling to get employment. The aim being to move refugees into a safe, supportive working environment, giving them the skills, confidence and experience to move into long term independent work.
