We are now closed on the campsite and CL until Good Friday 2019. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us over the summer, what a cracking year we have had. Exciting things to come for 2019...... We cannot believe how far we’ve come in 4 years, what a journey.
If you would like to stay over winter The Old Peat House guest room and static caravan are available throughout the quiet season. Both have central heating for those chilly nights.
Here’s some photos from over the l...ast year for you to enjoy.
Best Wishes. Richard and Louise x

We’ve just come back from a fantastic weekend at Breaks Fold Farm. A small group of dads with kids. A fabulous setting with loads of space even though it was fully booked. Made to feel very welcome by the hosts Richard and Louise. Lovely area to walk from and escape to. Facilities are basic but everything you need is there and clean, tidy and didn’t have to queue. Would highly recommend and will very likely be back there again.

We wanted to try out our new airbeam tent and we are so pleased we chose this site to do this. The owners are so welcoming! very clean facilities and its in a great location for getting to a lot of different places around the area. The small playground is a nice addition and our children always felt safe at the site. In the evening we took advantage of their fire pit hire, which was much needed because it was a chilly night when we stayed there. We only stayed the one night, but we will definitely return in the future.

We stayed here a couple of years ago with a groupon offer, wasn’t expecting much but we was wrong, it was pretty basic but clean, we loved every minute of our stay, the walk along the public path in the woods into the lake and surrounding areas have left us with lifetime memories, we haven’t been able to get back there yet but we will do, excellent service polite and very helpful owners, chickens are funny as well, cya in September hopefully

We loved our little get away xx it was so peaceful and relaxing with great views

User

We absolutely loved this camp site. Nice rural location, but close enough to towns/ attractions and a nice walk down to the reservoir. Clean showers, toilets & washing up area. Great little shop and information shed. Loved the fire pits and my daughter loved the climbing frame (she didn’t want to go home) The family that run the site couldn’t do enough for us and were super friendly. We will definitely be back

User

WIld camping at its best! Would highly recommend and will definately return. 2 fields (one more family orientated), forest, clean toilets and showers, washing up facilities, fire pits and logs for hire/sale. Most helpful staff ever. Quiet times over night. Direct access to Thruscross Reservoir. Brilliant!

User

Nice, comfortable and private place to stay with great walks nearby of the Yorkshire Dales.

Me, my two boys, my friend and her son camped this bank holiday weekend. We loved it and will definitely be back. Not only were we lucky weather wise but we were more than happy with the campsite. (apart from the extremely noisy cow arguing with the loudest bird in the world all Friday night )

Great facilities, love the quiet after 10pm rule (which was followed by everyone) because it meant the boys didn't get disturbed by music/chatting etc. Very friendly family who run it. Thank you for helping with my flat battery too. Much appreciated. Next time we plan to walk around the reservoir too.

User

Just back from a 2 night stay with friends. Lovely little site, family run and has a great family feel. Owners are approachable and attentive and obviously take pride in the site and facilities. Great base to explore the area and would defo recommend visiting the reservoir/river where we managed to catch a slalom canoe competition. A fire pit is great value for money and an essential for the midges! Logs and fire lighters and fire pit for a tenner was a bargain. Strict no noise after 10 rule made it a great family site. Showers were clean and warm toilet block the same. Can only see the site improving with time and would love to go back.

User

Just back from 7 nights here. Main field is well maintained, the facilities are very clean with 2 female and 2 male shower cubicles and seperate toilet block. Fridges and a freezer are provided for food storage etc and hot water sinks for dishes. The owners are great, very friendly and happy to help. So many places to go to nearby, makes an excellent base for visits in the local area. Make sure you have decent fly repellent in the summer! I refuse to mark any site down for something like flies, and everything else is excellent. Definitely recommended!

User

Had an amazing weekend here last weekend. Even the heavy rain didn't detract from what a great site this is. Simple but very clean facilities, almost felt guilty walking into the loos with my dirty shoes. Very friendly couple running It, and Richard in particular always had time to stop for a chat and make sure everything was ok. Couldn't recommend it enough and will definitely be going back

Had a fabulous bank holiday weekend here. It’s a great campsite and the addition of a small shop and a track around the field are a bonus. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the facilities clean.

We’ll be back again soon!

User

Great stay again this weekend. This is a fab campsite run by ever so helpful people. Will definitely be back.

User

Great campsite, lots of space and lovely owners. Nice to also have a on site shop with reasonable prices (rather than being ripped off). Fantastic, clean facilities and a perfect place for our dogs with lots of beautiful walks on the doorstep. Will definitely be heading back 😁

User

Fantastic friendly site in a beautiful setting. We’ve stayed several times now. Lovely and quiet, serviced pitches and excellent location. Highly recommend.

User

Everything that myself and son want at a campsite. Quiet time 10pm till 8am , lovely views, showers, toilets, washing up sinks, a little shop, fridge and freezer if required.

Lovely walks, and very nice owner's.

We will definitely be returning.

User

Beautiful place, heaven on earth. Back to nature with views to die for and lovely friendly owners, an absolute must

User

Absolutely fantastic stay, hosts Richard and Louise were great, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was kept very clean and well presented (toilets/showers etc). Loved being able to enjoy a campfire which was supplied with logs for our 2 evenings there for a small fee. We were 2 family tents with 3 kids and we all loved every minute. Definatley be returning soon and would highly recommend to any family's or just couples wanting a great camping experience, thanks for our first trip of many more to come Danny, Wayne and our familys
