Sweeping is one of the most important jobs you need to do with your stove. Getting a qualified and recommended Sweep, is essential. Today we had our complex Showroom chimneys, 6 in total Charnwood Stoves, Jotul UK Ltd, Arada Stoves, Dean Forge, Stovax and Gazco Town and country fires, swept and serviced by the brilliant, sweep, Ian Gummer. We were looking to install a log burner in our lounge, having broken out an old chimney. We popped into the showroom on a Saturday morning following a recommendation from a friend and were really impressed with the excellent service. We chose a stove which was very well priced (better than anywhere online) and they put a quote together following a visit from their recommended fitter (Sam). The quote was very reasonable and work was organised swiftly. The stove was fitted to our satisfaction and the workmanship was very good. Everyone has been so helpful and despite choosing a higher end stove, the final price was well within our budget which was based on a quote from another supplier for a cheaper stove. Very happy and highly recommend.

We are really delighted with our new stove (A Charnwood C4) and have already recommended you to friends. Great service and pleased with the installation, all at a very competitive price.

The whole experience from start to finish has been nothing but professional, any concerns have been dealt with swiftly and to a high standard. I have no hesitation in recommending Brendon Stoves.

Thanks to Isobel at Brendan Stoves and Stuart and crew for fitting our lovely wood burner over the xmas period. Not the easiest job in the world as it involved scaling a high roof above a stream to install and a few return trips due to bad weather, but it's in and we love it!

Brendon Hill Stoves has just recently fitted a wood-burner for us at Seapoint. From start to finish the service has been very reliable from the first home visit and advice, through to the fitting and the price was very competitive. I would have no problems recommending them to other people.

Back in the early summer of this year, we decided we would update our multi-fuel stove (with back boiler which heats a large number of radiators around the house) for a new and more efficient model. (The fact that through the winter we were spending £100 per month on logs in addition to £100 per month on electricity and still not having a warm house was the deciding factor!) Unfortunately, it proved that recent changes in regulations meant that in order to install the new model, we would be looking at about £5K to tear out and replace much of the existing pipework as well. After several chats with the very friendly and helpful staff at Brendon Hill Stoves, as well as one of their fitters, we moved onto Plan B, change the remaining water-filled radiators for eco electric ones and just have a small wood burner in the sitting room in addition to the electric rad there. We took our time deciding on make and model - again with invaluable advice and demonstrations at the lovely showroom at Roadwater - and our new Woodwarm 5KW stove was delivered quickly and efficiently in September and left in our dining room on a temporary basis while we made arrangements with our fitters to remove the old pipework and stove. With three-quarters of the work done, everything suddenly went on hold as one of our fitters coped with a major family crisis, but yesterday they came back, removed 'The Beast' and installed the beautiful new stove. Brendon Hill Stoves also came to the rescue yesterday when our fitters discovered that the flue pipe purchased from another supplier was the wrong one and were able to nip over and get the right one from them. It may have taken several months longer than we anticipated, but the new stove looks perfect and will make our sitting room cosy, as opposed to the nuclear-level heat we used to have to cope with in order to get a small degree of heat round the rest of the house! Very many thanks Brendon Hill Stoves, for your patience and help - we have already recommended you to others in the village.
