Bretts Burger

Bretts Burger was a massive hit in the 80's, taking Guildford, Reading and Oxford by storm. The beautiful thing about Bretts was its simplicity and fantastic food. Further inspiration came from travelling round New Zealand, where I discovered the Fergburger in Queenstown. These burgers were unbelievable yet so simple. The Fergburger was the place to go, priding themselves on good quality meat and were renowned for their larger than life burger.


My dream is to bring Bretts back, with quality meat and locally sourced produce. Over the past couple months I have been brainstorming ideas for how to incorporate Bretts into the twenty first century. Finding the ideal premises proved difficult, so Bretts has gone mobile! At the beginning of September I purchased a 1954 Bedford RL. It served in the Military as a bomb disposal unit at Heathrow Airport. It is a lean mean Bretts Burger machine, and over the next few months 815 ELM will become a fully operating catering machine.

In 2013 Bretts will be doing festivals, markets, shows, private functions and much more.
