Brewers Fayre

I had a lovely Mixed Grill meal tonight. Didn't have to wait too long for my meal to come, from when I ordered it. Food was at normal cooked food temperature and was cooked to perfection. Not had a decent meal out, like the one I had tonight, in a very long time. I'll defiantly be returning. Staff are also very polite, friendly and quick to give assistance if needed.

Had a lovely lunch today with my daughter and grandson, wonderful staff always friendly and helpful, food very nice and great value for money, my grandson has autism and loves to go here he has his favourite table (27). We always have a lovely time and wouldn’t go anywhere else in Southsea. Thank you very much.

Enjoyed the food and they was great with my grandson made him a birthday treat and sang happy birthday to him.

4 adults and one child visited yesterday 09/06/18, restaurant was heaving, we were seated promptly and were able to change tables to sit in the children’s play area, food was delicious and service was fantastic, brilliant family atmosphere.

The table was prebooked and set with cutlery etc. The food arrived quickly hot. The staff were helpful, and considerate. Only negative my son did not like the mashed potatoe.

Had a good meal but we were sitting near the bar, and it was very noisy on a very hot day.

First visit to this Brewer's Fayre and i was pleasantly surprised. It was a hot day so it was nice to have the cool air con. We eat here at lunch time and took advantage of their 2 mains for £8.99 between 12pm-5pm. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was tasty and good value. Would definitely eat here again.

The only downside is you have to pay for parking but if you are visiting Clarence pier it's not too bad. Parking is free after 6pm.

Staying in premier inn. Went down for tea, they had the new Christmas menu and we both wanted the turkey roast. Told they didn’t have any, this was only 6pm on Sunday!! And few days after the menu started. Was not impressed really. Place was clean and tidy and helpful staff.

On Thursday evening this place was always a 5 star review for me. However after walking miles on Friday I couldn’t wait to get back here and have a strawberry gin cocktail like the previous night but..... no strawberries or slimline ginger ale, why would you still offer a gin cocktail without the strawberries � went to bed without nightcap! A simple ingredient to run out of!!! �

We often visit here as it has indoor play area which is great , mostly in the summer then onto the funfair, but each time we come it gets worse and worse , the food in general is ok , the lack of staff is frustrating, the manager/landlady is rude , last night there was a air conditioning unit that was leaking leaving a puddle on the floor under a table ! Last time the toilets were flooded and slippery no signs put out either !!! 1 -2 members of staff on a Friday night is ridiculous, theres no one around to ask for more cutlery, wipe a table or even serve the all you can eat buffett ! All they seem to care about is serving all the drinkers at the bar ? The ice machine wasn't working either last night , my son had a hotdog and the bun was rock hard where it's been sat under a heat lamp for too long ! They don't seem to top up the buffet very often so your left waiting to ask someone if they are planning on filling it back up , overall its not somewhere i would recommend but ok for a quick pub meal before the funfair .

Unfortunately these sort of Resturants are not my favourite , but we were staying in the hotel next door.

The fact you have to pay for your food first and then be served rubbish is a bit of a insult .. When you complain about the food quality you then get offered a desert as some sort of compensation !! Need to up the food quality and train the staff far better as it took them 15 minutes to clear a table !!

My daughter being 5 was oblivious however ask yourself is this the kind of place you would want to bring your family to celebrate an occasion when they can’t even be bothered to clean up previous guests food. If it wasn’t for the play area and the fact my daughter enjoys it here we would have left! For a family environment it was not family friendly at all!

On purchasing a refill drink no ice or cold water in the machine. Then the food came i ordered the chicken and bacon salad which the chicken was hard looked like it had been microwaved and the salad was smothered in oil. My mum ordered a burger which was overcooked and so hard she couldn't eat it and the bun was burnt and cold wrong chips no onion rings. Oh and after we received our food not once did the waitress come back. Then to top it all was waiting to use the disabled toilet and after waiting a while I checked the door and heard a man and a women in side they came out and no baby it absolutely stunk of drugs there was white powder stuff and roll up paper on the floor. Absolutely disgraceful place won't be eating there again . Oh and we must of been there a good hour and our table still hadn't been cleared when we left.

Shame i had to give it one star. Absolutely disgusted waiting way over an hour and DIDNT even get our food we asked for a refund. And the bar staff said that they did warn us it would be a 30-45 minuet wait which is a lie. Please don’t waste your time going there.

He said it's not fake it's my money and told her to get the manager, he later returned with her and checked his money to discover that it was in fact genuine, the female member of staff walked off and no apology given, the manager said that she was doing her job, well yes checking notes I understand that but to incorrectly tell us his money was fake and she has to keep it and not give it back as it's "policy" and then to find out she was wrong and no apology to be given after the embarrassment this caused us is disgraceful!! Maybe you should spend more time teaching staff about building customer relations and they may return and leave better reviews. Needless to say we then took our "genuine" cash and left and ate elsewhere, it's disgraceful how you treated our family today and I will be contacting head office!!

The children play area was humid due to no air con on the hottest day of the year. Standing outside was only way to cool down. Food all over the floor then kids running around in bare feet stepping in it. Staff not really in there. Hardly saw her.

The food was awful the kicking chicken pops for kids look like it was just the batter, the food was cold, the beer was flat and off. It may have been a bad day but even if it is you shouldn’t let things slip like that. I won’t be going there again.

Come for dinner with some ladies from the residental home where i work and we will not be returning!! Staff were unbelievably rude! We finished our food 45 mins ago and are table still hasnt been cleaned. Waited 40 mins for our pudding which was only ice cream.. they still didnt clean the table when they gave us the puddings. Toilets were disgusting! No toilet roll! We will not be returning!

Came in today to have dinner with my family after having a nice morning at the arcades. We picked our food and my husband went to place the order and paid cash and the lady at the till told him rather loudly so other families could hear that his money was "fake" and that she was keeping it?! He said it's not fake it's my money and told her to get the manager, he later returned with her and checked his money to discover that it was in fact genuine, the female member of staff walked off and no apology given, the manager said that she was doing her job, well yes checking notes I understand that but to incorrectly tell us his money was fake and she has to keep it and not give it back as it's "policy" and then to find out she was wrong and no apology to be given after the embarrassment this caused us is disgraceful!! Maybe you should spend more time teaching staff about building customer relations and they may return and leave better reviews. Needless to say we then took our "genuine" cash and left and ate elsewhere, it's disgraceful how you treated our family today and I will be contacting head office!!
